AN ORDINANCE MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING
FOR ALTERATION OF THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH; DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH;
RELEASING EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTIONAL RIGHTS
IN CERTAIN TERRITORIES; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE
OF ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and the City of Edgecliff Village
have heretofore adopted a joint resolution agreeing to make certain boundary
realignments by discontinuing certain territory from within their respective
corporate boundaries and to release their respective extraterritorial juris-
dictional rights within such territories.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT the hereinafter described territory within the corporate
limits of the City of Fort Worth be and the same is hereby dis-
continued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and all extra-
territorial jurisdictional rights therein and thereto are hereby
released, said territory being more particularly described as
follows :
TRACT A
A tract of land south of Loop 217, west of the M.K.&T. Rail-
road, north of Alta Mesa Boulevard, east of the J. A. Fitch
Survey, and south of Edgecliff Road, and being described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of the J . A. Fitch
Survey, said point being in the present City of Fort Worth City
limit line;
THENCE: North with the east line of the J . A. Fitch Survey
and the present City limit line 1631 .15 feet to a point;
THENCE: N. 0 degrees 55 minutes E. with the east line of
the J. A. Fitch Survey and the present City of Fort Worth City
limit line 950.92 feet to a point in the south right-of-way line
of Edgecliff Road;
THENCE: With the south right-of-way line of Edgecliff Road
easterly and northerly to a point 350.0 feet south of the south
right-of-way line of S.W. Loop 217;
THENCE; Northeasterly along a line 350.0 feet south
of and parallel with the south right-of-way line of the S,W,
Loop 217, crossing the M,K. & T. Railroad to a point in the
east right-of-way line of the M.K, & T. Railroad;
THENCE: Southerly with the east right-of-way line of the
M.K. & T. Railroad to a point 250.0 feet north of the north
right-of-way line of Alta Mesa Boulevard;
THENCE: Westerly 250.0 feet north of and parallel wit4 the
north right-of-way line of Alta Mesa Boulevard, to a point in
the present City of Fort Worth City limit line, said point also
being 2638.89 feet east of the east right-of-way line of State
Farm to Market Road No. 731 ;
THENCE: Northerly parallel with and 2638.79 feet east of
the east right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 731
with the present City of Fort Worth City limit line to a point
in the south line of the J. A. Fitch Survey-,
THENCE: East 1056.97 feet with the south line of the J.A.
Fitch Survey to the southeast corner of said survey, and the
place of beginning and containing approximately 0.452 square mile.
TRACT B
A tract of land south of Edgecliff Road, west of State Farm
to Market Road No. 731 , north of Alta Mesa Boulevard, and east
of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad, and being described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City
limit line, said point being in the easterly right-of-way line of
the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad, the southwest corner of
Lot 22, Block 1 , Edgecliff West Addition Unit No. 1 as said lot
appears on the Map of Record in Volume 388-26, Page 61 of the
Tarrant County Deed Records;
THENCE: S. 2 degrees 03 minutes E. with the east line of
said Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railraod 1670.93 feet to a point;
THENCE: S. 89 degrees 51 minutes E. 1007.75 feet to a point
200.0 feet west of the west right-of-way line of State Farm to
Market Road No. 731 ;
THENCE: Southerly 200.0 feet west of and parallel with the
west right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 731 to a
point in the north right-of-way line of Alta Mesa Boulevard;
THENCE: Westerly with the north right-of-way line of Alta Mesa
Boulevard crossing the G.C. & S.F. Railroad to a point in the west-
erly right-of-way line of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad;
THENCE: Northerly with the west right-of-way line of said Gulf,
Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad to a point in the north right-of-way
line of Edgecliff Road;
THENCE: Easterly with the north right-of-way line of Edgecliff
Road to a point in the east right-of-way line of the Gulf, Colorado
and Santa Fe Railroad;
THENCE: Southerly with the east right-of-way line of the Gulf,
Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad to the southwest corner of Lot 22,
Block 1 , Edgecliff West Addition Unit 1 , the place of beginning and
containing approximately 0.096 souare mile.

SECTION II
THAT the above described tracts are shown on Exhibits A and B,
which are attached hereto and expressly incorporated herein by
reference for the purpose of illustrating and depicting the loca-
tions of the hereinabove described tracts .
SECTION III
THAT this ordinance shall and does amend every prior ordinance
in conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or sections
of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall
be and the same is hereby made cumulative.
SECTION IV
THAT it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council
that the sections , paragraphs, sentences , clauses and phrases of
this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared void, in-
effective, or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or final decree
of a court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall
not affect any of the remaining phrases , clauses , sentences , paragraphs
and sections hereof, since the same would have been enacted by the
City Council without the incorporation herein of any such void, in-
effective or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or
section.
SECTION V
THAT this ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and it is so ordained.
