AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING
FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 0.558 SQUARE MILES
OF LAND, WHICH TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS
THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THE TERRITORY ANNEXED SHALL BEAR
ITS PRO RATA PART OF TAXES; PROVIDING THAT THE INHABITANTS
THEREOF SHALL HAVE ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF ALL CITIZENS OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRO-
VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has previously adopted a joint
resolution to make certain boundary adjustments with the City of Edgecliff
Village, said resolution having been passed and approved by the respective
city councils of said cities and having been recorded in the Deed Records
of Tarrant County, Texas in Volume 4800 at Pages 648-666; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth pursuant to sand resolution did
on Novembe r3, 1969 by Ordinance No. 6191, duly and legally passed and
approved, make certain boundary realignments by discontinuing certain
territory from within its corporate boundaries and dict release its extra-
territorial jurisdictional rights within such discontinued territory; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edgecliff Village pursuant to said resolution
did on November 11, 1969 by Ordinance No. 55, duly and legally passed and
approved, make certain boundary realignments by discontinuing certain
territory from within its corporate boundaries and did release its extra-
territorial jurisdictional rights within such discontinued territory; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of
Fort Worth, Texas, wherein all interested persons were provided with an
opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the territory herein-
after described, was held in the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of
Fort Worth, Texas, on the 8th day of December, 1969, which date is not more
than twenty (20) nor less than ten (10) days prior to the institution of
annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published prior thereto
,n a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
and in the hereinafter described territory on the 25th day of November,
1989` which date is not more than twenty (20) and not less than ten (lO)
days prior to the date of the opening of such public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the population of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, is in
excess of 400,000 inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the corporate area of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, was
198.222 square miles on the lst day of January, 1969 ; and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory lies within the ex-
clusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Fort Worth, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory contains approximately
0'558 square miles of land; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT NORTH:
SECTION I
THAT the following described land and territory lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Fort North, Texas, is hereby added to and annexed
to the City of Fort Worth, Texas" and said territory hereinafter described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, and the boundary limits of said City, at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so
as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Fort
Worth" Texas" to wit;
PARCEL "C"
A tract of land south of Limestone Trail, east of the G.C. & S.F.
Railroad, north of Sycamore School Road, and west of the M.K. & T.
Railroad, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the south line of Sycamore School Road
(County Road No. 1059), said point being 2244.19 feet east of the east
line of State Farm to Market Road No. 731 �

THENCE with the present easterly City Limit Line f
Edgecliff Village N. 0 degrees 22 minutes E. 285.0 feet, and
N. 5 degrees 00 minutes W. 117.0 feet, and S. 81 degrees 51
minutes E. 192.3 feet, and N. 84 degrees 46 minutes E. 90.0
feet, and N. 5 degrees 14 minutes W. 115.0 feet, and S. 84
degrees 46 minutes W. 30.0 feet, and N. 7 degrees 57 minutes
W. 246.1 feet, and N. 0 degrees 03 minutes W. 868.0 feet,
and N. 12 degrees 49 minutes W. 444.3 feet, and N. 70 degrees
00 minutes E. 15.0 feet and N. 25 degrees 14 minutes W. 120.0
feet, and N. 64 degrees 46 minutes E. 35.0 feet, and N. 25
degrees 14 minutes W. 50.0 feet, and N. 21 degrees 00 minutes
W. 173.0 feet to a point in the north line of a tract of land
conveyed to E. L. Trimble, Et Al, by Deed recorded in Vol.
3830, Page 269 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE N. 89 degrees 46' E. with said line, 383,2 feet
to a point being 2638.89 feet east of the east line of State
Farm to Market Road No. 731;
THENCE northerly with the present Edgecliff Village City
Limit line to a point 258.0 feet north of the north right-of-
way line of Alta Mesa Boulevard;
THENCE westerly along a line 420'0 feet south of and
parallel with the south right-of-way line of Limestone Trail,
to a point in the east line of Winn Drive;
THENCE northerly with the east line of Winn Drive to a
point 370'0 feet south of the south right-of-way line of
Limestone Trail;
THENCE westerly along a line 370.0 feet south of and
parallel with the south right-of-way line of Limestone Trail,
to a point 120.0 feet west of the west right-of-way line of
Winn Drive;
THENCE northerly along a line 120.0 feet west of and
parallel with the west right-mf-way line of Winn Drive, to a
point 728.0 feet south of the south right-of-way line of
Limestone Trail;
THENCE westerly along a line 120.0 feet south of and
parallel with the south right-of-way line of Limestone Trail
to the east right-bf-way line of State Farm to Market Road
No. 731, continuing across State Farm to Market Road No. 731
to a point 200'0 feet west of the west right-of-way line of
State Farm to Market Road No. 731;
THENCE southerly along a line 200.0 feet west of and
parallel with the west right-of-way line of State Farm to
Market Road No. 731 ^ to a point in the south right-of-way
line of Sycamore School Road (Farm Road #1059);
THENCE N. 87 degrees 53 minutes W. with the south line
of Sycamore School Road to the point of beginning and contain-
ing approximately 0.530 square mile.

PARCEL "D"
A tract of land lying south of S W t of
State Farm to Market Road No, 731, north of Edgecliff Road,
and west of James Street, and being described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
City Limit Line, said point being in the west right-of-way
line of Janes Street and in the north right-of-way line of
Edgecliff Road;
THENCE northerly with the west right-of-way line of
James Street 816,51 feet to a point in the present north
City limit line of Edgecliff Village;
THENCE west with the present north City limit line of
Edgecliff Village, 695'0 feet to a point in the east right-
of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 737;
THENCE S. 32 degrees OS minutes west with the east
right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 731,
288.7 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left;
THENCE southerly with said curve, whose central angle
is 32 degrees 29 minutes and radius is 1089'0 feet, n
distance of 515.6 feet to a point of tangency;
THENCE S. 0 degrees 24 minutes E. 1.8 feet to a point
in the north right-of-way line of Edgecliff Road;
THENCE easterly with the north right-of-way line of
Edgecliff Road to the west right-of-way line of James Street,
the point of beginning and containing approximately 0.028
square mile.
SECTION Il
THAT the above described tracts are also shown as Exhibits C
and D, which are attached hereto for the purpose of illustrating and
depicting the locations of the hereinabove described tracts.
SECTION III
THAT the above described territory and the area annexed shall
be a part of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and the property so added
hereby shall bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City of
Fort Worth~ Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all
of the righty and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by
the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas.

SECTION IV
THAT this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior
ordinance in conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or
sections of ordinances not in conflict herewith this ordinance shall
be and is hereby made cumulative.
SECTION V
THAT it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases
of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph or section of this ordinance shall he declared void, ineffective,
or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or final decree of a court of
competent Jurisdiction" such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of
the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections hereof,
since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the
incorporation herein of any such void, ineffective or unconstitutional
phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section,
SECTION VI
THAT this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage on first reading and publication and its
passage on second reading as provided for in Section 40 of Chapter XXVIIl
of the Charter of the City of Fort North and it is so ordained,
