AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING PORTION OF W.
15th STREET AND TWO ALLEYS, SITUATED IN BLOCKS V AND W
OF DAGGETT'S ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN THE DEED
RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; THE RETA.INMENT OF
EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That two alleys of variable widths situated in the J. Childress Survey, Abstract No. 250
and contained within Block V, Daggett's Addition, an unrecorded addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and Lot l OR, Block V, Daggett's Addition, an addition to the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, according to the plat filed in County Clerk (C.C.)
#D212119939 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 9,150
square feet or 0.210 acres of land more or less, and as more specifically described in Exhibits
"A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That a portions of W. 15th Street, a seventy-seven (77) foot wide right-of-way situated
in the J. Childress Survey, Abstract No. 250 and contained within Blocks V and W, Daggett's
Addition and Blocks 3 and 4, Jennings East Addition, unrecorded additions to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing respectively approximately 29,952 square feet or

0.688 acres of land more or less, and as more specifically described. in Exhibits "C" and "D"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and
extinguished.
SECTION 3.
That the fee to the lands in the above-described vacated alleys and streets are hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law,
SECTION 4.
That all existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in the easements are relocated at the owner's expense.
SECTION 5.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon a(.1option..

Between Throckmorton Street and Jennings Avenue fora New Parking Garage and Mixed Use
Development for the Central City Local Government Corporation and the Lancaster Corridor
Redevelopment, L (COUNCIL DISTRICT )
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating two alleys in Block 3, aggett's Addition and a portion of 15th
Street for a new parking garage and mixed use development for the Central City Local Government
Corporation and the Lancaster Corridor Redevelopment, LLC; and
2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City Policy (Mayor and
Council Communication G-15624).
DISCUSSION:
Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc., on behalf oft the Central City Local Government Corporation and the
Lancaster Corridor Redevelopment„ LLC, has requested the vacation of these alley rights-of-way and
street right-of-way to replat them with the adjoining property for a new parking garage and mixed use
development as a part of the Lancaster Corridor, The City Plan Commission recommended approval of
this request at its meeting on May 26, 2014. An acceptable final plat (FS-14-062) has been received in
accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance.
The City of o Worth (City) originally obtained the above mentioned rights-of-way through the platting
process. The City does not own any fee interest in the rights of-way or own any property adjacent to the
rights-of-way and did not expend any City funds to purchase the right-of-way easements. In accordance
with the City's Policy Regarding Street and Alley Vacation 'Transactions approved by the City Council on
March 6, 2007 ( &C -1 4), Staff recommends waiving the fair market value or any portion thereof of
purchase price of rights-of-way easements for the streets and alley.
This project is located in COUNCIL DIS'TRIC'T 9, Mapsco 7
