J1 • 1-4 L JL J 6m I J men+,, the Director $hall forward a record showing the date of examination, the person conducting it, date he took physical examination, name of physician, whether accepted or rejected, date when request for filing va- cancy made, and date applicant notified; that the Chief may suspend em- ployees temporarily, but in no event to exceed fifteen (15) days, provided he files with the Commission, within forty-eight (48) hours, a written statement of such action, and the Commission shall have power to investi- gate and determine whether such cause exists; that any chief executive or other official of the City who shall wilfully fail or refuse to put this Act into operation shall be subject to a fine; and that firemen and po- licemen are prohibited from engaging in any strike and are subject to fine for violating any of the provisions of the Act? SECT ION 2, U- w ,rie, the City Sacretary shall prepare ballots to be used in said elec- tion and shall stamp same "Official Ballot," on which ballots shall be • printed the proposition to be submitted to the voters. SECTION 3* That said election shall be held at the following places with the following named persons appointed presiding judge of said election, to wit -. SECTION 4* That all voters who favor the proposition to adopt the provisions of House Bill 34, passed at the Regular Session of the Fiftieth Legislature., and being known as Article 1269m of Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes,, shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words., "FOR the Adoption of House Bill 34,11 and those who favor the rejection of the said House Bill 34 shall have written or printed upon their ballots the words., "AGAINST the Adoption of House Bill 34,11 SECTION 5, That the way and manner of holding this election, the notice to be given therefor, the polling places, the personnel of the officers who are to hold the same, and all details connected with the holding of the elec- tion shall be determined and arranged by the City Council; and that the City Secretary shall furnish election officials with official ballots, together with any other forms or blanks, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Fort Worth and the laws of the State of Texas, SECTION 6. since the City Council further finds that the said Charter of the City of Fort Worth was amended by a vote of the qualified voters of said City on the 17th day of December, 1946, SECTION $. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Passed and adopted this 29th day of October, A.
