AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY SIXTEr~t FEET ~~VIDE RUPINING EAST P.ND Ti7EST IN BLOCK 1 OF VAPJ ZADTDTQS•PARK AI}- 17ITTON T© THE CITY' OF FORT •~ORTFi, TARR_ANT COUNTY, TEAS, BE ABAI~TDON~_.,D, VACATED AND CLOSED; 'AND PROVTDIPdG FOR THE RETTERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LANDo' t~VHHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort TiVorth that the alley sixteen feet wide running east and west ira Block 1 of Van Zandtos Park Addition, although duly dedicated, has in fact never been used by the public and that it is to the best interest of the public that said alley be closed, abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare and the fee to the land in said alley revert as provided by law; NOTiV, THEREFORE, BE Tr ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT ti70RTH, TEKAS: SECTION 10 That the alley sixteen feet wide running east and west in Block 1 of Van Zandt~'s Park Addition to~the City of Fort 1r7orth, Tarrant County, Texas, located hetvreen Norwood and University Drive and between West Seventh and Crockett Streets, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character vahat- ever SECTION 20 That the fee to the ]_and in said alley above described is hereby re- leased and will revert to the owners as provided by law, save and except that an easement is reserved for public utilitiesa SECTION 3a That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealedQ 5ECT IOTd 40 That this ordinance shall take effect and be icL full force and effect fi~on. and after the date of its passage, APPROVED~AS~TO FORI~i: City Attorney
