DISCUSSION: The street name change was requested by the Fort Worth Fire Department for the road named McAlister Road between Hemphill Street and McAlister Road. This is to ensure that as development begins along the proposed Archbury Road this will eliminate potential confusion as McAlister Road continues southbound into the City of Burleson, to prevent the intersection of McAlister Road and McAlister Road. The area is currently vacant with a multi-family development under construction and no properties are addressed off McAlister Road. Notice of the proposed street name change was sent on July 22, 2014 to all registered neighborhood organizations within 1/4 mile. The City of Fort Worth will pay$400.00 for the cost of design and installation of the new street signs. Transportation and Public Works Department is utilizing funds from the New Development Fund. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 6, Mapsco 119N.
