RE: Updated Proposal—Amendment#1
Tony's Creek(Stream MC-1)Open Channel Study
City Study No. SWS-037
City Secretary Contract Number 42671
Dear Ms. Hanna:
Based on our recent scope and fee negotiations, enclosed please find for your review our
updated contract documents pertaining to Amendment#1 for the Tony's Creek Open
Channel Study, SWS-037. The results of the Hydraulics analysis revealed significant
flooding potential in the storm drain systems in the Northwest Diamond Hills (Fostepco
Heights) and 32nd Street to the west of Long Avenue which merits including these
systems in the Tony's Creek ICM model. The purpose of this amendment is to enhance
the Open Channel Study by including the storm drain from as-built plans for these two
areas, and add the current feasibility tasks to the existing analysis of alternatives.
Identification of additional storm drain alternatives in these areas will reduce overland
flooding and roadway overtopping.
As such, the requested amendment includes the following tasks:
• Task 2f - for the CCTV condition assessment and 2g for the Level D SUE
• Tasks 3g to 3k - to include the two storm drain systems modeling in the Tony's
Creek ICM model
• Tasks 5.b.1 to 5.b.7- for additional analysis of alternatives and mitigation
strategies
• Additions to Tasks 1 and 6 for project management and QA/QC.
Schedule
HDR estimates that it will take an additional 3 months to perform the services outlined
above. The remainder of the project schedule will remain the same.
Deliverables
Deliverables will remain the same as outlined in the contract.
