The City Manager stated that if future bids were not significantly different , perhaps the bids could be split to make this experiment. The City Mana- ger also informed the Council that as recommended in the report , by the New Car Dealers Association, future pur- chase of vehicles would be made with- out trade-in, unless the Council desired otherwise. Restricted Usage of Curb Space Rodger - Please handle (I.R. 307) Council concurred wiLh recom- mendations in I.R. , except question concerning hours in which restricted parking would be in effect at load- iLq zo,iuLi, particularly in Lhe vicinity of movie theatres. Council requested Lhis matter be brought back for Council consideration in 2 weeks, containing additional in- formation on question raised and including recommendation on Taxi parking zones. 4. Date for Presentation of Eco- Riomic Base Study Council agreed to meet on Friday, ?March 29, at 2:00 p.m. , in order to receive presentation of this stud._, _ 5. Richland Hills Water Contract The City Manager informed the Council that a slight change in wording; of contract had been re- quested by Richland Hills Council , and thaL Lhe change would not be to the detriment of the City. Council consensus was to approve phis change at formal meeting, which was done. 6. M&C's PZ-57 , 58, and 59 - Annexation Matters The City Manager informed the Council that these annexation matters had been brought again before the Council as requested at the last Council meeting. Limited discussion was held on the M&C' s. 8. Request of Salvation Army for Gene - Prepare M&C Free Use of Will Roger's Auditorium Mayor Justin referred to a re- quest from the Salvation Army for free use of the auditorium for a band concert on one of the dates, May 19 - May 26. The City Manager stated that this request would re- quire Council approval, as the Council policies did not provide for free use of the auditorium.
