Council discussed this proposed project for
the extension of Berry Street east from the
Southeast Loop 217 to Cravens Road, and its im-
portance as compared to other City projects.
Concensus of Council was to postpone indefinite-
ly proceeding with this project and the acquisi-
tion of necessary right-of-way, pending some
expression of the residents in this area concern-
ing the project.
This action was taken at regular Council
meeting.
2. Belknap - Weatherford Overpass (M&C C-200) NAN
Councilman Hamm requested information from
the Public Works Director concerning the extent
of work represented by the $8,000 bid for site
preparation work in connection with the Belknap-
Weatherford Overpass. The Public Works Director
reported that this work included moving of sev-
eral concrete foundations, trees, shrubs, and
other debris which was necessary before the
railroad could proceed with their work. The
Public Works Director reported that this work
was contemplated at the time of the contract
with the railroad, with the work to be paid
for by the City.
Council approved the MSC at regular Council
meeting.
3. Revision of Policies for the installation NAN
of Community Facilities in Subdivisions
(M&C G-568 and G-573)
Council had no questions regarding the
proposed revision of developer policies, and
the revised policies were approved at regular
Council meeting.

4. Purchase of Flasher Lights :ind Barricades NAN
(M&C P-331)
The City Manager reported Khat there had
been several variations in bids received for
the purchase of flasher lights and barricades,
and that three alternatives had been presented
for Council consideration in connection with
this purchase.
Concensus of Council was to approve alter-
nate No. 1, providing for the award of the bid
on an item basis to the low bidders meeting
specifications. This action was taken at regu-
lar meeting. _
5. Northeast Water Transmission Main (M&C NAN
C-202)
The City Manager reported that this M&C
provided for the award of the contract for
construction of the northeast water trans-
mission main from Greater Southwest Inter-
national Airport to serve the Menasco Plant.
Upon inquiry by Councilman Shannon, the City
Manager reported that the water table at the
airport was dropping, requiring the wells to
be lowered this winter, but that sufficient
water remained.
The Council approved the award of con-
tract at regular Council meeting.
6. Progress on West Berry Street Extension R&B
Through Former Worth Hills Golf Course
Councilman Barr requested information on
the progress of the report providing for the
extension of West Berry Street, and was in-
formed by the City Manager that a report was
expected this month on the pro ect.
7. Proposed Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance Gene - Follow up
Councilman Jones inquired about the sta-
tus of work being done by the Planning De-
partment in regard to the proposed Flood Plain
Zoning Classification, and was informed that
the Planning Department was presently consider-
ing revisions to the Flood Plain Zoning Ordi-
nance. Councilman Shannon inquired if the
City Manager had conferred with the Corps of
Engineers in regard to this matter, and was
informed that the City Manager had not met with
the Corps of Engineers but that the Planning
Department may have met with them. _

8. Inquiry Concerning Use of Two-Man Patrol KD
Cars
Councilman Willis requested information
from the staff concerning other: Texas cities '
use of two-man patrol cars at night and in
the early morning.
9. Vickery Boulevard Paving and Widening KID - Memo to Public Works
(IR 463)
Council discussed this informal report
advising the Council that new bids had been
received on widening and paving the section
of Vickery Boulevard west of Forest Park
Boulevard as approved by the Council, and
that unless the City Council directed other-
wise, the assessment roll would be prepared
on the basis of $10.82 per front foot in
accordance with the previous bids received
on the project to improve Vickery Boulevard
both east and west of Forest Park Boulevard.
Concensus of Council was to proceed on
the basis outlined in the I.R.
