1 . Scheduling of Annual Meeting, with Fort Worth GWEN - gave information to Lealand
Housing Authority Hunter's office on 7/6/66
The City Manager suggested that either July 11 GENE - reminder on 7/25/66 Informal
or July 25, would be suitable with the Housing Authority Agenda
Board for the annual meeting and luncheon with the Council.

At the regular meeting, upon motion by Mayor Pro-
Tem Jones to adopt the committee report, including re-

the Council unanimously approved the report and recom-
mendations. _
3. Northeast Industrial Thoroughfare DICK - draft memo to Graham and Buckman

construction of a temporary roadway is the third and last
one to be let in the present program.
Councilman Stovall commented that he thought the
underpass tinder the Rock Island Railroad at the Bell
Spar :should be built now if possible. Councilman Hamm
a<;reed that it should be built now and the City should
Lind the money now.
The City Manager said that some $33,UUO on presently
Planned improvements at the grade crossing would be saved
if the grade separation is construcLed now. Councilman
SLovull said that the present right-of-way is 8 feet below

the underpass; now.
Councilman Hoover asked it Lite estimates of cost in-
clude drainage. The Public Warks Director said that they
(it.). Councilman Hamm suggested that Lite extra money from the
telephone company might be used . The City Manager said this
amounted to $160,000 for this year.
Councilman Shannon said he thought the underpass should
be built now.
The City Manager cautioned that the cost figures are
very tenative at Lhis time, and also that Bell may move its
parking lot south of the tracks which would change the situation.
The Public. Work:; Director said Lhat it will probably take
an e::Lra six to eight mouLhs to build the underpass, and 'our
months at the very minimum. Ile said there is extra cost involved
for a temporary grade crossing; for Cite interim period.
Councilman Hamm said lie thought this underpass is nn ex-
pendiLure for which an obligation was made when the area was

Mayor Barr asked if a temporary ;;rade crossing can he CITY

After considerable discussion, Councilman Stovall, as chair-
