HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 989 TUESDAY MAY 8 1984 Resolution No. 989 RESOLUTION NO. 989 "Whereas, heretofore, under date of May 8, 1984, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas issued to Continental National Bank, Fort Worth, Depositor, and its Joint Safekeeping Receipt or Advise of Deposit or receipts covering certain securities; and "Whereas, both the Depositor and Depository now desire the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to permit a substitution of certain securities, or a withdrawal of securities, which it now holds, as hereinafter more fully set forth; and "Whereas, the securities, if any, hereinafter mentioned, which the above named parties desire to substitute in lieu of those heretofore placed in safekeeping with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, meet with the requirements of law and have been and are hereby approved; and "Whereas, the securities, if any, hereinafter mentioned, which the above named parties wish to withdraw, are entitled under the law to be withdrawn; "Now, therefore, be it resolved: That the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas be and it is hereby requested and authorized to surrender the following securities heretofore placed with it for safekeeping by the above named parties, to-wit: Receipt No. Description Par Value 174429 5.00% Fort Worth, Texas GO due 3-1-86 $200,000.00 "Be it further resolved: That the Federal Reserve bank of Dallas be and it is hereby authorized to deliver the securities described herein to the substituted for or withdrawn to Continental National Bank, Fort Worth, Texas or its order." Adopted Ordinance No. It appearing to the City Council that Ordinance No. 9063 was adopted on first 9063 on second and final reading on April 3, 1984, annexing 16.84 acres in the Daniel McVane Survey and that reading annexing 16.84 said ordinance was published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the official newspaper of acres in Daniel McVane the City of Fort Worth, Texas, on Apri7_6,I0 , an than 30 days having elapsed Survey since publication, Mayor Pro tempore Stute introduced Ordinance No. 9063 and made a motion that it be adopted on second reading. The motion was seconded by Council Member Wetherby. The ordinance was read by the City Secretary. The motion, carrying with it the adoption of said ordinance, prevailed by the following vote: AYES: Mayor Bolen; Mayor Pro tempore Stute; Council Members Zapata Johnson, Lancaster, Williams, Wetherby, Bagsby, and Newkirk NOES: None ABSENT: None The ordinance, as adopted, is as follows: Ordinance No. 9063 ORDINANCE NO. 9063 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN 16.84 ACRES (0.026 SQUARE MILES) OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT CORPORATE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THE TERRITORY ANNEXED SHALL BEAR ITS PRO RATA PART OF TAXES; PROVIDING THAT THE INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL HAVE ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF ALL THE CITIZENS OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City staff of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, wherein all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the territory hereinafter described, was held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office Building of Fort Worth, Texas, on the 28th day of February, 1984, which date is not more than forty (40) days nor less than twenty (20) days prior to institution of annexation proceedings; and WHEREAS, a second public hearing before the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas wherein all interested persons were provided an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of
