Notice of claim re alleg There was presented a notice of claim regarding alleged damages sustained by
damages - Mr. Michael L. Mr. Michael Lev Spradling in May 1984, allegedly as the result of actions of the
Spradling employees of the Fort Worth Police Department. It was the consensus of the City
Council that the notice of claim be referred to the Risk Management Division.
Corr. from Mr. Michael There was presented correspondence from Mr. Michael Gingrich, 4009 Rusty Dell
Gingrich re automated Road, regarding computer check-out of library books. It was the consensus of the City
check out system for Council that the correspondence be referred to the City Manager.

Corr. from Mr. Quintin There was presented correspondence from Mr. Quintin Oden, 5316 Timberwilde
Oden re alleg illegal Circle, regarding the parking of vehicles in his neighborhood and the alleged illegal
use of Meadowbrook Golf use of Meadowbrook Golf Course. It was the consensus of the City Council that the
Course correspondence be referred to the City Manager.
Corr. from Mrs. Gladys There was presented correspondence from Mrs. Gladys Nowlin, 3766 West 4th
Nowlin re increase in Street, regarding an increase in her taxes. It was the consensus of the City Council
her taxes that the correspondence be referred to the City Manager.
Corr. from Mrs. Robert There was presented correspondence from Mrs. Robert D. Dye, 3712 Wedgway
D. Dye re taxes Drive, requesting an increase in senior citizen homestead exemptions. It was the
consensus of the City Council that the correspondence be referred to the City Manager.
Corr. from 3 members of There was presented three identical copies of correspondence from members of
Westside Ft. Worth Chmbr the Westside Fort Worth Chapter Number 1266 of the American Association of Retired
No. 1266, American Assoc Persons, Inc. requesting an increase in senior citizen homestead exemptions. It was
of Retired Persons re the consensus of the City Council that the correspondences be referred to the City
taxes Manager.
Corr. from D'Andra There was presented correspondence from D'Andra Pannell regarding alleged
Pannell re alleg damages damages sustained by Mr. Paul Gordon one week before June 13, 1984, allegedly as the
sustained by Mr. Paul result of damages to Mr. Conway's watch. It was the consensus of the City Council that

on considera. of adoptici of Ordinance No. 9108 on second and final reading annexing 236.76 acres for the
Southside Airport be continued for two weeks.
Introduced Resolution Council Member Williams introduced a resolution and made a motion that it be
adopted. The motion was seconded by Council Member Zapata. The resolution was read by
the City Secretary. The motion, carrying with it the adoption of said resolution,
prevailed by the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Bolen; Mayor Pro tempore Stute; Council Member Zapata
Johnson, Lancaster, Williams, Wetherby, Newkirk, and Bagsby.
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None
The resolution, as adopted, is as follows:
Resolution No. 998 RESOLUTION NO. 998
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, regularly meets on Tuesday of each week;
and,
WHEREAS, the National League of Cities will
conduct its Annual Congress of Cities during the period
from Friday, November 24, 1984, through Wednesday,
November 28, 1984, in Indianapolis, Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, a majority of the members of the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, will be in
attendance at the National League of Cities' Congress of
Cities; and,
WHEREAS, Tuesday, December 25, 1984, is an
official holiday of the City of Fort Worth; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter III, Section 5 of The Charter
of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, requires that tfili-7 ty

calendar year and not less than three regular meetings
each month: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH TEXAS,
That the City Council meeting regularly
scheduled for Tuesday, November 27, 1984, be cancelled.
