Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is unimproved. If this re- quest is granted, the vacated right-of-way will be utilized for additional yard area. Burns Street serves no useful traffic or access functions at the present time. Its existing 30 foot right-of-way width is not sufficient even for a minor residential street which requires a 50 foot width. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided easements are retained for utility and drainage facilities. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public rights-of-way as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission. a I HDM:mm Attachment i 4R i s 3 SUBMITT D BY: DISPOSITION COUNCIL: PRO ESSED BY PPROVED ❑ OTHER (DESC IBE) G - CITY SECR RY DATE 7 CITY MANAGER / /
