COUNTY OF TARRANT $
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems
Corporation Consultants, (Engineer) made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 29997, (the Contract) which was authorized
by the City Council by M&C C-19650 on the 18th day of July 2003 and
subsequently revised by one previous amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Sanitary Sewer Extension to Serve the Town of Tarrant
Addition.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to
said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through
their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following
agreement which amends the Contract:

Article I, of the Contract is amended to include the addition-
al engineering services specified in M&C C-20262, adopted by the
City Council on 7th day of September, 2004, and further amplified in
a proposal letter dated August 2, 2004, copies of which are both
attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the
additional services to be performed by Engineer total $28,670.00.

Article II, of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $139,201.

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly
amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Rakesh:
As per the Cities request to improve the water lines within the Town of Tarrant, TranSystems
has prepared this amendment. This additional work was not in the original contract. We are
requesting an increase in fee of$ 28,670.00 to cover the additional survey and design effort.
Estimated Construction Costs (Water line):
TOTAL $ 330,000.00
Basic Engineering Design Services:(TSPE Curve A 9.4% x 0.85 = 7.99%) $ 26,370.00

We will be using A.N.A. Consultants to provide engineering services. This will result in a

SUBJECT: Interlocal Agreement with Tarrant County for the Maintenance and Repair of North Tarrant
Parkway from US Highway 377 West to Fossil Ridge High School
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with
Tarrant County to provide maintenance and repair on North Tarrant Parkway from US Highway 377 West to
Fossil Ridge High School at no cost to the City.
DISCUSSION:
Tarrant County has agreed to enter into an Interlocal Agreement to provide maintenance and repair on North
Tarrant Parkway from US Highway 377 west to Fossil Ridge High School. This repair and maintenance will
not include comprehensive rehabilitation or reconstruction.
Under this agreement, Tarrant County will provide and pay for the cost of all the necessary labor, equipment
and material to perform this work as it has done annually since May 2001. The City agrees to close the road
to through traffic for repair and maintenance as deemed necessary by Tarrant County.
The agreement shall automatically terminate upon execution of the construction contract to widen North
Tarrant Parkway or one (1)year from the date of the execution of this agreement, whichever is first.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Directror certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
