In addition, AECOM recommends modeling the Baker Street System from the junction box in Mississippi to Sta.6+64.25, per sheet 4 of 10(S-907 plans). Constructing the appropriate outfall pipe for the Baker System under the current construction contract will likely prevent demolition of the new headwall in the future. DISCUSSION: The 2004 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes funds for the Morningside Neighborhood Drainage Improvements Project. The scope of the project consists of the preparation of plans and specifications to install a storm drain system on New York Avenue from Judd Street to Cantey Street; on Cantey Street from New York Avenue to Mississippi Avenue; and on Mississippi Avenue from Cantey Street to Baker Street. Turner Collie & Braden, Inc. proposes to perform the necessary design work for a lump sum fee of $108,538. City staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed. In addition to the contract amount, $21,120 is required for project management by the Engineering Department. Turner Collie & Braden, Inc. is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 19% M/WBE participation. The City's goal on the project is 19%.
