Dear Mr. Ehia:
Dunaway Associates, L.P. is pleased to present this Amendment No. 7 for the following
additional services that are beyond our original scope of services.
• Additional site investigation & option development for highway crossing per specific
request by City. Alignment alternatives were investigated to route north at Craver Street
and to route south on Pharr Street. Site visits with TXDOT were required to determine if
the alignment option solutions were feasible.
• Additional geotechnical borings for highway crossing per specific request by the City to
determine the existing soil conditions at the bore location. This entailed coordination with
a geotechnical engineer and additional site visits to determine ideal bore locations.
• Additional TXDOT geotechnical boring permit for highway crossing and associated
required traffic control plan. An additional TXDOT permit is required to carry out the
necessary geotechnical bores and an associated traffic control plan had to be developed
and submitted to TXDOT for there approval.
• Additional coordination meetings with the various staff in the multiple City departments,
construction contractors for all portions of active construction in the area (public and
private), and the various staff in the multiple TxDOT departments for highway crossing
options and geotechnical borings as mentioned above.
• Additional site visits for highway crossing options and geotechnical borings as mentioned
above.
