HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7019ORDINANCE NO. �) L' l AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK C-1, DAGGETTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VA- CATED AND CLOSEDi PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT TORTH IN SAID LANDi REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the alley in Block C-1, Daggett$ Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, abutting Lots 1 through 5 and Lot 28, be, -and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the fee to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided.by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. City de- partments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and recommend that subject right-of-way be vacated provided easements are retained for existing utility facilities where required, unless abandoned or satisfactory relocation arrangements are made; the vacated right-of-way is physically closed with curbs and gutters or standard driveway openings are established; access to the existing fire escape is assured; and the vacated right-of-way is replatted with adjoining property.
