MEMORANDUM
TO: A. Douglas Rademaker, Director, DOE and
Mike Groomer, Assistant City Manager
FROM: Mike Domenech, DOE
DATE: March 20, 2000
RE: DESIGN FEE AMENDMENT NO. 6 TO MAIN C1C4B DRAINAGE
AREA SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION AND IMPROVE-
MENTS (GROUP 6, CONTRACT 2), PART 4, DOE NO. 1829
The proposed amendment will reimburse Halff Associates, Inc., for the additional engi-
neering services that will be provided on the project as requested by the City.
At the direction of City staff Halff provided modifications to the original design. The
modifications include realignment of a major portion of the sanitary sewer line and the
revision of the proposal section of specifications.
Halff Associates, Inc., has requested a fee of$5,200.00 for the additional services to be
provided thereby increasing the contract fee from $349,265.00 to $354,465.00. I believe
this fee is fair and reasonable for the additional services that were provided.
Please authorize this additional design fee by your signatures on the attached contract
amendment form.
