HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3903 ORDINANCE NO. 90 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF TARRANT ROAD FROM THE WEST LINE OF VILLAGE CREEK ROAD TO THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF BWCK 2 OF EASTWOOD TERRACE ADDITION EXTENDED IN A NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION ALONG A CURVE TO THE LEFT WHOSE RADIUS Is 809.5 FEET, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CIASED; PRO- VIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI- NANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE DGMIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following described portion of Tarrant Road be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever: Tarrant Road from the west line of Village Creek Road to the southwesterly line of Block 2 of Eastwood Terrace Addition extended in a northwesterly direction along a curve to the left whose radius is 809.5 feet. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and will re- vert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for all existing utilities. That it is further expressly provided that the easement to be reserved for the existing 8-inch gas line lying approxi- mate]y 14 feet north of the south right of way line is to be 20 feet in width measured 10 feet each side of the centerline of the existing line; and that the easement for the Southwestern Bell Telephone line is to be 10 feet in width measured 5 feet each side of the centerline of the existing line. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
