AN ORDINANCE VACATING A 25' STRIP OF UNNAMED RIGHT OF WAY
ORIGINALLY DEDICATED IN BLOCK 4, HOME ACRES ADDITION
ACCORDING TO THE PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-16, PAGE 571
PLAT RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; THE RETAINMENT OF EXISTING
UTILITY EASEMENTS, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1.
That a 2S' strip of unnamed right of way originally dedicated ui Block 4 Home Acres
Addition according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-16, Page S7I Plat Records, Tarrant
County Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit `1 `2" and `3" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such tune all utilities located
in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense.
SECTION 3.
That the fee to the land in the above-described street rights-of--way is released and shall revert
to the adjacent owner as provided bylaw
SECTION 4.

That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repeated.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
BEING a 25-foot wide public right-ol=way located within Block 4, Hame Acres Addition
according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-I6, Page 571 of the Plat Records of Tarrant
County Texas and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 518-inch iron rod found in the North right-of-way line of Garden Lane (a 50-
foot wide right-af-way) being the Southwest corner of Lflt 17 Block 4, Home Acres Addition
according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-A, Page 110 a~ the Plat Records of Taara~at
County Texas;
TI~NCE WEST 25 00 feet along the said North right-of--way line of Garden Lane to a poim at
the Southeast corner of Lot 18-C, Block 4, said Home Acres Addition according to the plat
recorded in Volume 388-ib, Page 57I afthe Plat Records of Tarrant County Texas;
TEIENCE NORTH, I00 00 feet along the East boundary line of said Lot I8-C to a point ax the
Northeast corner thereof lying in the South boundary line of Lot f 9 aforesaid Block ~,
THENCE EAST 25 00 feet along the South boundary line of said Lot i9 to a 5/8-inch iron rod
found at the Southeast corner thereof being the Northwest corner of aforesaid Lot 17
THENCE SOUTH, 100 00 feet along the said West boundary line of Lot 17 to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, containing 2500 square feet of land.

DISCUSSION
Coombs Land Surveying acting on the behalf of Maria del Carmen Rivera of the City of Fort Worth has
requested vacation of the above referenced right of way in order to be replatted as a part of Lot 18D The
Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that the administrative fee of $100 has
been received Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this
request. The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on December 23
2005 Any existing utilities will be relocated at the applicant's expense An acceptable replat has been
received
