AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION
OF TERRELL AVENUE ADJACENT TO LOT 48 TUCKERS
ADDITION AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TARRANT COUNTY TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 63, PAGE
124 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY TEXAS, AND
LOT 1G ROSEDALE ADDITION AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY TEXAS AS RECORDED IN
VOLUME 32, PAGE 382 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT
COUNTY TEXAS, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 4,616 SQUARE
FEET OR 011 ACRES OF LAND• PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND• THE RETAINMENT OF
EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS, REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That a portion of Terrell Avenue, being a 60 foot wide public right-of way located adjacent
to Block 48 Tuckers Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County Texas as
recorded in Volume 63 Page 124 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County Texas and Lot 1G
Rosedale Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County Texas as recorded in
Volume 32, Page 382 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County Texas, containing 4 616 square
feet, or 0 106 acres of land more or less, and as more specifically described in Exhibit 1 `2"
and `3 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That all existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense
SECTION 3
That the fee to the land in the above-described street is released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a section of Terrell Avenue adjacent to
Lot 48 Tuckers Addition an addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in Volume 63 Page 124
P R T C T and Lot 1 G Rosedale Addition an addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in Volume 32
Page 381 P R.T C T containing approximately 4 616 square feet or 0 11 acres.
DISCUSSION
Mori's Engineering Inc. has requested the above referenced vacation on behalf of Oak Timbers-Fort Worth
South LP of Fort Worth The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that the
purchase fee of $100 00 has been waived per right-of-way dedication on the adjoining replat. Reviewing
City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. The City Plan
Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on August 24 2005 The right-of-way
being vacated is being retained as an easement for existing utilities A suitable re-plat (FS-05-217) has
been received
This vacation is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
