Dear Sirs
Referring to the letter of the Texas Electric
Service Company addressed to the City Council, -regarding
the withdrawal from dedication of certain properties in
the Lakeview Addition and Hyde Jennings Sub—Division, com-
prising the property owned by the above company. You are
advised that we see no objection to their request, as it
would probably mean some ddditional values for tax purposes,
as the streets and alleys would be included as property owned
by the company, provided the street be opened on the north
side as recommended by Bar® C. H. Thelin, Director of Public
Works®

Honorable City Council,

the Texas Electric Service Company has acquired certain property in the Town of
Handley, which is now within the city limits of Fort Worth. The property ac-
quired was subdivided property in the Hyde Jennings Subdivision and the Lake View
Addition. In purchasing this subdivided property, the company has acquired
title to various lots which completely enclose certain streets heretofore dedi-
cated to the pablic use in connection with said Hyde Jennings Subdivision and
Lake View Addition. Inasmuch as the company has acquired ownership to all
property adjoining certain streets in this subdivision and addition, and inas-
much as it is necessary for the .company"s intended use of this property to use
the property acquired as one tract, the company is now desirous of closing such
streets and alleys as lie entirely within the tract of land acquired for its
Handley generating station. The streets and alleys which the company desires
be closed are as follows:

a southerly extension of the east line of East Street at the southwest
corner of" a cemetery and running in a general southeasterly direction
to the intersection of new County Road No. 2050.
In connection with the closing of Arkansas Lane, we respectfully call
the Council's attention to the fact that the company has heretofore petitioned
Tarrant County to -relocate a portion of Arkansas Lane and to close that portion
of Arkansas Lane between our property before said property was taken into the
city limits of Fort Worth, which permission was granted by the Commissioners'
Court of Tarrant County. The relocation of Arkansas Lane has been completed.

as one tract land and may henceforth be rendered for tax purposes with other
property as 4'7.05 acres in the S. G. Jennings Survey and 78.99 acres in the J. A.
Creary Survey. '
