AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT
This Amendment to Lease Agreement ("Amendment') is effective as of April 1, 2015 by and
between Martin Lackland, LLC ("Lessor") and the City of Fort Worth, a municipal corporation,
acting by and through its duly authorized representative (`Lessee").
RECITALS
A. Lessor and Lessee entered into a certain Lease Agreement dated March 21, 2007 (City
Secretary Contract No. 35094) (the "Lease"), involving premises more particularly described therein.
The third and last renewal of the lease (City Secretary Contract No. 35094-R3) expires on March 31,
2015.
B. Lessor and Lessee now desire to amend the Lease as described below.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of
which is hereby acknowledged, Lessor and Lessee agree as follows:
1. Extension of Lease Term. The first sentence of Section 3 of the Lease is hereby deleted
and the following substituted therefore:
"This Lease shall commence on April 1, 2015 and terminate on May 30, 2015, unless a prior
termination is effected by either Lessor or Lessee under the termination provisions of this Lease."
2. Miscellaneous. The Lease, as amended hereby, remains in full force and effect.
Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings assigned in the Lease.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Amendment has been duly executed in multiple
counterparts by the parties hereto as of the date and year first written above.

HEARING:
SUBJECT: Authorize Sixty-Day Lease Agreement Extension with Martin Lackland, LLC for Property
Located at 2222 Wenneca Avenue Currently Housing the Fire Department's Fire Safety
Education and Commercial Inspections Staff(COUNCIL DISTRICT 9)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a sixty-day Lease
Agreement extension with Martin Lackland, LLC for property located at 2222 Wenneca Avenue
currently housing the Fire Department's Fire Safety Education and Commercial Inspections staff.
DISCUSSION:
On February 20, 2007, (M&C C-21983)the City Council approved a lease for 6,108 square feet,
parking and outside storage for the Fire Department at 2222 Wenneca Avenue. The third and last
renewal of this lease (City Secretary Contract No. 35094-R3) expires on March 31, 2015.
The Fire Department's Fire Safety Education and Commercial Inspections staff intends to vacate this
location no later than May 30, 2015 and move to the new Public Safety Training Complex. Since they
will not be able to move until after the expiration of the current lease, the Fire Department would like
to continue to lease the space at 2222 Wenneca Avenue for the current lease rate of$8.00 per
square foot for sixty days, beginning on April 1, 2015 and ending on May 30, 2015.
This property is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9, Mapsco 76G.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating
budget, as appropriated, of the General Fund. The Fiscal Year 2015 operating budget has available
funds of$21,666.23 for the purpose of providing lease of office space.
