WHUEAS*- the Public Works Director, on the 18th day of April, 19589
filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of
Donnelly Avenue from the westerly line of Littlepage Street to the easterly
line of Guilford Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1; Littlepage Street
from the northerly line of Donnelly Avenue to the northerly line of Fletcher,
Avenue, known and designated as Unit No. .2; Neville Street from the northerly
line of Curzon Avenue to-the northerly line of Geddes Avenue.o known and desig-
nated as Unit No. 3; The 16-foot Alley between Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8s & 9
and Lots 109 .118 121, 138 140 15, 16, 17 & 18, Block 19.9 Van 7Andts Park Addition,
from the easterly line of Universtty Drive to the westerly line of Norwood
Street® between West Lancaster Avenue and Bledsoe Street, .known and designated
as Unit loo, 4;; the same are hereby approved as the Specifications under which
said work shall be done,
SECTION 2,
The City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for the
construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said specifications
which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth Press'
a newspaper of general .circulation in the City of Fort Worth, and shall call
for sealed bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council on or
before the 6th day of May, 19589 at 10:00 o'clock A.M. upon which date such
bids shall be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter. The first
publication of said advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before
the date herein set for opening of Bids.

Dear Sir:
In connection with the proposed paving of Donnelly Avenue, littlepage Street,
Neville Street, and the Alley between Vest Ie.ncaster and Bledsoe Street from
University Drive to Norwood Street, the following documents are attached:

3. Ordinance approving the Specifications

The Specifications state that the project will be advertised on Tuesday, April
222 1958, for bids to be received on Tuesday, May 6, 1958. Previous steps taken
in connection with this project are as follows:

The attached summary of Cost shows the estimated total cost of these improvements
to be $55,100.00 with the Property Owners to pay $22,700000 and the City to pay
the balance of $32,400.00. A previow Appropriation Request for $800.00 was
approved for the City's cost of paving the Alley. We recommend that the attached
Appropriation Request for $31,600,00 be approved from Bond Fund 84 for the balance
of the City's portion of the cost, and that the attached Ordinance be adopted so
that the project may be advertised for bids as stated above.

Herewith I hand you Specifications for the improvement of the
following streets in the City of Fort Worth:
DONNELLY AVENUEm from the westerly line of Littlepage Street to the easterly
line of Guilford Street, known and designated as Unit No, 1,
LITTUPAGE STREET.& from the northerly line of Donnelly Avenue to the northerly
line of Fletcher Avenue, known and designated as Unit No. 2.
NEVILLE STREET: from the northerly line of Curzon Avenue to the northerly line
of Geddes Avenue, known and designated as Unit No, 3.
ALLEY: from the easterly line of University Drive to the Westerly line of
Norwood Street, between West Lancaster Avenue and Bledsoe Street,
known and designated as Unit No. 4.
I have included in said Specifications as directed by the Ordinances
of the City Council ordering said work, Specifications for the following
materials, to-wit:
A. 6" Reinforced Concrete Pavement
B. 12° Asphaltic Concrete Surface on
a. 5" Reinforced Concrete Base.
b. 7141 Flexible Base (Crudher-run Crushed limestone)
