WORTH, K _ THE WEST LINE OF EVANS AVENUE AND THE EAST LINE OF MISSOURI AVENUE BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Dashwood Street between the west line of Evans Avenue and the east line of Missouri Avenue, bounded on the north by Lot 8, Schlaters Subdivision of Block 1, Evans South Addition, and on the south by Lots 1 and 12, W. J. Boaz Subdivision of Block 3 , Evans South Addition, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that easements are retained for any and all existing utilities . SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. J. Boaz Subdivision, it is proposed that Dashwood Street be closed between Evans and Missouri Avenues, as shown on the attached map. The owners of Lot 8, Schlaters Subdivision, which adjoins the north si-de of Dashwood, join in the request to close the street. Private utility companies and the City Public Works, Water, Traffic Engineering, and Planning Departments do not object to closing the II foot wide right-of-way provided easements are retained for existing utilities. On July 8, 1964 the City Plan Commission reviewed the request and recommended City Council adoption of an ordinance abandoning this right-of-way, but subject to the retention of all easements for- existing utilities. Mike Mahoney, Planning Director TIME suBdECT Proposed Closing of Dashwood St. Between Missouri and Evans Avenues In connection with construction of a new fire station on Lots 1, 2, and 12, Block 3, W.J.Boaz Subdivision of Evans South Addition, the City wishes to close the section of Dashwood St. (sometimes called an alley) immediately north of these lots. In the street at present are a sanitary sewer line, and an electric service line for which easements should be retained. There are no objections to closing the street from either the private utility companies or the City Water, Public Works, Traffic Engineering, and Planning Departments. The City Plan Commission, on July 8, 1964.9 reviewed the request and recommended that the street be closed. The portion to be closed is: Dashwood St. between the west line of Evans Ave. and the east line of Missouri Ave., bounded on the north by Lot 8, Schlaters Subdivision of Block 1, Evans South Addition, and on the south by Lots 1 and 12, W.J. Boaz Subdivision of Block 3, Evans South Addition; save and except that easements are retained for any and all existing utilities.
