TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 45662
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Jacobs Engineering Group,
(ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 45662, (the
CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-26822 on the 3 day of June, 2014
in the amount of $ 2 , 485 , 403 . 75 ; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project :
Final Design for Extensions for Runway 16R, Runway 16L and Taxiway
A; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a scope of work dated 4/21/15 and fee
proposal dated 04/20/15, a copy of both is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services
to be performed by Engineer totals $43, 875. 95.

M Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
M the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
m the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $2, 529, 279. 70.

All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect .
EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date last written by a signatory,

Scope of Work
Additional Design Services for ALSF-2 Building Design and ASOS
Equipment Relocation
For
Runway 113R, Runway 16L and Taxiway A
Alliance Airport
Fort Worth, Texas
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Jacobs will design the new ALSF-2 building and housekeeping pad for the relocated ASOS
equipment as requested by the FAA.
Scope items included in this proposal include the following tasks:

J. ALSF-2 BUILDING DESIGN AND ASOS EQUIPMENT RELOCATION
This scope of work includes the efforts required to complete the task as identified and
incorporate into the final design of the Runway Extension Project. This scope will result in
additional plans and specifications to include in the final design for the Runway Extension
Project.
FAA Advisory Circulars referenced throughout this document refer to current editions at the time
of contract execution.
J.1 ALSF-2 Building Design
This scope of work is based on a building of dimensions 50' X 40' with two (2) interior devising
walls creating three (3) rooms. These rooms will consist of an Engine Generator Room,
Localizer Equipment Room and ALSF Equipment Room. The building will be a peaked roof with
a 10'-0" eave height.
The building will be a pre-engineered building with insulated walls and roof. Exterior wall
covering shall be "U"type metal panel; interior walls shall be fiberglass reinforced polyester
embossed plywood panels. Procurement of building shall be by contractor.
Climate control shall be by split system, pad mounted HVAC units, louvres and exhaust fans.
Foundation shall be continuous grade beam with slab on grade for interior. This foundation
system shall be verified after the final geotechnical report is received.
Plumbing for fuel oil and glycol shall be taken to the exterior line of building wall. Plumbing to
outside the building line to external equipment shall be by others.
J.2 ASOS Housekeeping Pad
This scope will include provisions to provide grading, housekeeping pad, vehicular access,
parking, and power for the use of the National Weather Service to relocate the existing ASOS
equipment currently located south of Westport Parkway. Communications will not be required;
the ASOS transmits data via UHF. Standard drawings from the National Weather Service will be
included in the final plan documents. These standard drawings will site dimensions, electrical
diagrams, sections, details, and structural information for concrete piers.
