ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING.THE 20 FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE AND. .UTILITY EASEMENT IN BLOCK 3, WOODMONT ADDITION, COLLINEAR WITH THE COMMON LOT LINES, OF LOTS 1 AND 2 , WOODMONT ADDITION EXTENDING FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF WESTCREEK DRIVE IN A NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION, PARELLEL TO THE COMMON PROPERTY LINE OF LOTS 1 AND 2 , BLOCK 3, WOODMONT ADDITION, TO A POINT 10 FEET FROM THE NORTHEAST .CORNER OF LOT LAND TO A POINT 5 FEET FROM THE .SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 2; PROVIDING. FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS . SECTION 1. That the 20 foot wide drainage and utility easement in Block 3, Woodmont Addition, collinear with the common lot lines of Lots 1 and 2 , Woodmont Addition extending from the east right-of-way line of Westcreek Drive in a northeasterly direction, parallel to the common property line of Lots 1 and 2 , Block 3, Woodmont Addition, a distance of 121. 26 feet to a point 5 feet from the southeast corner of Lot 2 , be and the same is vacated, abandoned, permanently closed and extinguished as a drainage and utility easement . SECTION 2 . That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage and utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4-. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. The purpose for this request is facilitation of the .cons� ruction of a bank building. The subject easement, acquired by dedication,' is` not ..in use and. contains no utility facilities. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objection to this request and recommend that the subject easement be vacated as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that .an.ordinance be adopted vacating the 20' drainage and utility easement ldf -fed in Block 3, collinear with the common lot lines of Lots 1 and 2, Woodmont Addition.
