Exhibition Conditions
As part of this year's collaboration entitled "Spotlight on Mexico in Fort Worth"
between the City of Fort Worth ("City") and the Consulate General of Mexico —
Dallas Office ("Consulate"), a sculpture exhibit of nine bronze sculptures titled
"Wings of the City" ("Artworks") by artist Jorge Marin is set to be on display from
June 4, 2015 through September 1, 2015 in Fort Worth. Eight sculptures will be
sited on City-owned property and are the basis of this agreement.
Through this letter, the loan and exhibition conditions for the exhibition are
outlined by and for both parties.
The Consulate agrees:
• To loan and display Artworks by artist Jorge Marin (in attachment 1
particular description of the Artworks) as a temporary public art
installation on public property within the corporate limits of the City in
conjunction and coordination with the City's Transportation and Public
Works and Parks and Community Services Departments.
• That artist Jorge Marin also agrees to this loan and display of the Artworks
(in attachment 2, letter signed by the artist).
• To a term of three (3) months, commencing on June 2 and ending on
September 1, 2015, unless terminated or extended by either party by
mutual agreement.
• To install and uninstall the artworks on the date and times mutually agreed
upon by both parties. Consular staff will be present when both of these
take place.
• To install and uninstall the Artworks on the sites agreed upon by both
parties (attachment 3).
• To cover all the expenses of installing and uninstalling the Artworks,

• To provide materials that prevent the permanent marking of surfaces in
contact with sculptures sited on paving, concrete, or other porous
materials.
• To cover expenses related to the maintenance and cleaning of the
Artworks.
• To cover expenses related to permitting during the installation and
uninstallation of the Artworks.
• That, in the case of alterations, restorations, cleaning or repair of the
Artworks, the Consulate agrees to assume the responsibility.
• To cover the insurance of the Artworks and all costs associated with
insurance deductibles should repairs to the Artworks be necessary, as well
as damage to third parties in the case of an eventuality. In attachment,
copy of the Certificate of Insurance in which the City is listed as third party
beneficiary in the Consulate's policy. (Attachment 4)
To produce all the additional corresponding documents reflecting that the
insurance policy coverage will run until September 2015. These documents
will be submitted to City at least three (3) days before the ending date on
the current Certificate of Insurance. If the Consulate fails to obtain proper
Certificates of Insurance under this provision, the Consulate agrees to
remove the Artworks immediately upon a request to do so by City.
• To cover the artist's and staff's travel expenses related to ceremonial
functions coordinated with the display of the Artworks, unless otherwise
mutually agreed.
• To cover the corresponding indemnifications in direct relation to the
installation, exhibition and uninstallation of the Artworks, all in accordance
with the Consulate's insurance procedures.
• Should the need arise to remove one of the pieces previous to the end date
of the exhibition, the City must give written notice to the Consulate and
allow the Consulate at least ten (10) days to remove such sculpture. The
sculpture would be removed completely from the exhibition and would not
be relocated.
The City agrees:
• To grant permission to the Consulate to install, display and uninstall the
artwork in the locations depicted in attachment 3, known as "Artworks'
Sites."
• To orient the Consulate in the process of obtaining the necessary permits
for installing and uninstalling the work in public spaces.
• To keep the Artworks physically located at the specified Artworks' Sites
without alteration, unless mutually and expressly agreed upon in writing in
advance of a change of location.
• To grant the Consulate access to the Artworks at all times, for purposes of
the exhibition.
• In the event that the Artworks are damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen, to
give the Consula n,w-
tten notice. In such a case, City would not be
liable for an ama , a d sulate will cover any related costs.

This exhibition, part is part of the "Spotlight Mexico in Fort Worth" program, a cooperation initiative between
the City of Fort Worth and the Consulate of Mexico. These are large format sculptures by Mexican artist Jorge
Marin, consisting of 8 sculptures which will be placed in different key areas in the City of Fort Worth, including
General Worth Square, Burnett Park, Fort Worth Water Gardens and the Fort Worth Convention Center. This
urban public art project's objective is to generate interaction between the general audience, the artwork and
the space they are in.

Through this letter, I would like to inform you that Jorge Marin Studio has loaned the
exhibition known as "Wings of the City," which consists of 9 large scale sculptures, to
Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of their itinerant works of art program and
that through the Ministry, it is currently on loan to the Consulate General of Mexico in
Dallas.
Furthermore, I'd like to inform you that I am in agreement with the Consulate of Mexico
in taking this exhibition to your:venues in Fort Worth as part of their itinerant artwork
program from June to August 2015.
