HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 2903 INFORMAL REPORT TO CI-_ COUNCIL MEMBERS No.903 N,PT(Apo �op�40RT�o To the Mayor and Members of the City Council May 12, 1977 u � s » rxX Subject: ALLEGED ZONING VIOLATION AT 2229 WATSON (OPERATION OF A '8 73 REPAIR GARAGE) On April 12, 1977, during the hearing of the Zoning case docket, a citizen alleged that there was a zoning violation at 2229 Watson in the City of Fort Worth. The City Council referred this to staff for invest- igation and report. The staff found no violation of the Zoning Ordinance. In its investigation, the staff took the following steps: 1. On April 14, 1977, an inspector drove by the property and found no auto repair garage in operation. 2, On April 18, 1977, the inspector interviewed the owner, a Mr. James W. Hammons and, with the permission of the owner, took pictures of the interior of the attached garage. Mr. Hammons stated that he is now repairing vehicles at 5809 Roselane Street, East. The property is owned by a Mr. C. D. Hart and is zoned "J" Industrial. This site was inspected by the inspector for proper zoning. Mr. Hammons has a pickup bed and motor on the premises which, according to him, are replacement parts for the pickup he owns. The inspector's reports and pictures taken of the property are in the possession of the City Manager. * * * * * * * * * * If additional information is desired, it will be submitted upon request.
