AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1000 AS DONATIONS ARE RECEIVED FROM BELL
HELICOPTER, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE 'CLEAN AIR FAIR AND
BIKE RALLY" KICK-OFF EVENT MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2004-
2005 in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Environmental Management Fund in the amount of $1 000 as donations are
received from Bell Helicopter for the purpose of funding the 'Clean Air Fair and Bike Rally" kick-off
event.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision opinion or
judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this
ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 16061 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance
are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said
conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
Authorize the City Manager to accept a $1 000 cash donation from Bell Helicopter for the `Clean Air
Fair & Bike Rally" event
2. Authorize the City Manager to accept donated sponsorships valued at $600• and

event.
DISCUSSION
An additional cash donation from Bell Helicopter has been received by the Department of Environmental
Management for the `Clean Air Fair & Bike Rally° event. The kick-off event for the 2005 Ozone Season was
held Friday April 22 from 11.00 a m - 2.30 p m. on Main Street between Second and Fourth Streets. The
event is designed to attract downtown workers during the lunch hour to increase their awareness of air
quality issues and to make them aware of the ways they can - `Care for Cowtown Air
The funds will be used to defray the cost of the event.
Panther City Bicycles donated a bicycle valued at $600 for a drawing prior to the ride (pre-registered riders
were eligible) and also provided ride support to cyclists during the rally

The Finance Director certifies that upon adoption of the supplemental appropriation ordinance funds will be
available in the current operating budget, as appropriated of the Environmental Management Project
