Springs Road and Northwest of Windmill Street (COUNCIL DISTRICTS 8 and 9)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of an amendment to the Community
Facilities Agreement with Union Pacific Railroad, City Secretary Contract No. 44754, to include City
participation in an amount not to exceed $105,794.00 for costs related to upsizing a waterline from 8

On July 18, 2013, the City and Union Pacific Railroad executed a Community Facilities Agreement
(City Secretary No. 44754, M&C C-26197)to make various improvements to the City water and
sanitary sewer facilities as part of the Tower 55 railroad improvements.
Additional water and sewer work has been identified which will benefit the City, thus it is necessary to
add City participation for water and sanitary sewer improvements at the following locations: upsizing
an 8 inch water line to a 12 inch line just south of Pecan Street, through the UPRR right-of-way and
connecting at 12th Street and abandonment of two sections of sanitary sewer under Cold Springs
