BY THE PUBLIC WOMM DIRECTOR FOR TRE IKpROV3MEHT
OF VARIOUS STREETS AT SIX ZOCATIOHS IN TSE CITY
OF FORT VORTH, TEXAS
MSEHMS, the Public Works Director on the 30th day of December, 1958,
filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of
Rqaona Drive from the northerly line of U. S. Highway No. 80 to the souther y
line of Slocum Aveme, known and designated as Unit No. 1; Ramona Drive from
the northerly line of Ruby Place to the southerly line of U. S. Highway No. 80,
known and designated as Unit No. 2; Olive Place from the northerly line of Locke
Avenue to the southerly line of Halvey Street, known and designated as Unit To. 3;
Olive Place from the southerly line of Nalvey Street to the southerly line of
Calmont Avemcue, known and designated as Unit No. 4; Hemsell Place from the
westerly line of Olive Place to the easterly line of Sappington Place, known
and designated as Uhit lTo. 5; Fairfax Avenue from the southerly line of Garza
Avenue to the Vest to the northerly line of Garza Aveme to the D.st, known and
designated as Unit No. 6.

Section 1.
That the same be and are hereby approved as the specifications under
which said work shall be done.
Section 2.
That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for
the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifica—
tions, which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth
Stan-Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, and
shall call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council
on or before the 3rd day of Februalq, 195$, at 10 s00 A.M. upon which date shall be
opened and read as prescribed W the Baty Chester. %at the first publicatioa of
said advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before the date herein
not for opening of Bids.
section 3.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its Passage.

Attached are original. Petitions for the paving on the assessment basis of the
streets listed below, proposed Ordinances ordering the paving, Notices of said
Ordinances to be filed with the County Clerk, Location Plats, estimates of cost,
Report of the Public Works Director, and a proposed Ordinance approving the
specifications for the project and giving authority to receive bids. The streets
which we propose to include in the project are as follows:

It is proposed to excavate these streets to proper grade, construct curb and
gutter, and place a permanent type paving. The total estimated cost, including
engineering and contingencies, is $989167.509 with the property owners to be
assessed $499967.50 of that amount and the City to pay the balance of $48,200.00.
There are no una3locatod funds remaining in Bond Fund 84 for the City;s portion
of the cost. However, since the actual expenditure of funds would not be re-
quired for at least six months dine to the assessment procedure, we recommend

that the attached Ordinances and Report be adopted and that we be authorised
to proceed, with the understanding that the necessary funds for the Cityfs
portion of the cost will be appropriated to the project from fUnd.s for street
improvements received in the Bond sale in the spring of 1959, before any
expenditures for this project are necessary.

Herewith I hand you Specifications for the improvement of the follow—
ing streets in the City of Port North:
RAMONA DRIVE: from the northerly line of U. S. Highway No. 80 to
the southerly line of Slocum Avenue, known and
designated as Unit No. 1.
RWNA DRIVE: from the northerly line of Baby Place to the
southerly line of U. S. Highway No. 809 known
and designated as Unit No. 2.
OLIVE PLACE: from the northerly line of Locke Avenue to the
southerly line of Malvey Street, known and
designated as Unit No. 3.
OLIVE PLACE: from the southerly line of Malvey Street to the
southerly line of Calmont Avenue, known and
designated as Unit No. 4.
HEKSELL PLACE: from the westerly line of Olive Place to the
easterly line of Sappington Place, known and
designated as Unit No. 5.
FAIRFAX AVE.: from the southerly line of Garza Avenue to the
