WORTH, Im INTERURBAN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TAR- RANT COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING BETWEEN CHESTER STREET AND GRAFTON STREET, FROM EAST AVENUE TO EAST LANCASTER, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley in Block 23-A, Interurban Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, lying between Chester Street and Grafton Street, from East Avenue to East Lancaster, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities, including a 10-foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer service line, said easement being measured five feet each side of the center line of the sewer, and an easement the full width of the alley for air-raid siren from the north line of East Avenue and extending north 110 feet. SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. Honorable Mayor and He: Requested Alley Closing, Members of the City Council Blocks 23-A, Interurban City of Fort Worth Addition Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: A petition has been received requesting the closing of the alley from Fast Avenue to East Lancaster, Block. 23-A, Interurban Addition. The entire lot is zoned "J" Light Industrial and a major portion is deve It oped for commercial use. The Public Works Department reports that the request is made to enable the consolidation and further development of the property. The alley has not been opened for use by the general public or for garbage pickup. The Public Works and City Planning Departments have investigated the requested closing and have received no objections to it from public or City-owned utilities except in the case of sanitary sewer and air-raid siren facilities, for which easements should be reserved.. The description of the alley and the character of the requested closing are as follows; The alley in Block 23-A, Interurban Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, lying between Chester Street and Grafton Street from East Avenue to East Lancaster; SAVE AND EXCVT easements be reserved for any and all exist- ing utilities including a 10-foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer service line, said easement being measured five feet each side of the center line of the sewer, and Including an easement the full width of the alley for air-raid siren from the north line of East Avenue and extending north 110 feet.
