HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 16514-07-2005Ordinance No Jr~y_o7-SOS AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $60 000 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE OPERATION OF THE 2005 PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES SUMMER DAY CAMP AT COMO COMMUNITY CENTER, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2004- 2005 in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $60 000 from available funds for the purpose of funding the operation of the 2005 Parks and Community Services Summer Day Camp at Como Community Center SECTION 2 That should any portion section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. Adopt the appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund by $60 000 from available funds DISCUSSION In an effort to meet the increasing needs of the residents of the Como community the Amon G Carter Foundation has partnered with the Como Community Center In 2003 the central focus of the Carter Foundation became the Summer Day Camp Program, which is operated through the Parks and Community Services Department at the Como Community Center The Amon G Carter Foundation has awarded the Como Community Center funds in the amount of $60 000 to assist in this effort.
