AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING THREE CORNER
CLIP RIGHTS-OF-WAY AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF WEST 6TH
STREET AND LAMAR, WEST 5TH STREET AND LAMAR AND WEST
5TH AND TAYLOR STREET, SITUATED IN THE MITCHELL BAUGH
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 106 OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AS RECORDED IN THE PLAT RECORDS
OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS AND COLLECTIVELY CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY RESPECTIVELY 150 SQUARE FEET ACRE OF
LAND MORE OR LESS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY SHALL RETAIN ALL
EXISTING UTILITIES EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a portion of the sixty (60) foot right-of-way of West 6th Street and Lamar Street (the
°`comer clip"), situated in the Mitchell Baugh Survey, Abstract No. 106 of the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing approximately 50 square feet of land or 0.001 acre of land more or less, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and
the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That a portion of the sixty (60) foot right-of-way of Lamar Street and West 5th Street (the
"corner clip"), situated in the Mitchell Baugh Survey, Abstract No. 106 of the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
Corner clip West 5th 6`h and Lamar Streets ROW Vacation(VA-15-006)

containing approximately 50 square feet of land or 0.001 acre of land more or less, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and
the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 3.
That a portion of the sixty (60) foot right-of-way of West 5t' Street and Taylor Street (the
"corner clip"), situated in the Mitchell Baugh Survey, Abstract No. 106 of the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
containing approximately 50 square feet of land or 0.001 acre of land more or less, and as more
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and
the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 4.
That the easement to the land in the above-described vacated street right of way is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 5.
All existing utility easement be shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense.
SECTION 6.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City cil
1. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating the 10 by 10 foot corner clip right-of-way dedications at the
intersections of West 6th Street and Lamar Street, West 5th Street and Lamar Street and West 5th Street
and ylor Street, to be replatted by Anthracite Realty Partners, LLC, with the adjoining ro for a new
multi-story office it in ; and
2, Waive any II purchase fee value of vacated land in accordance with City policy,
DISCUSSION:
Dunaway Associates, on If of nthr ci te Realty Partners, LLC, has requested the vacation
corner clip right-of-way e ications, to be replatted with the adjoining property for a new uli-sto office
building. i Ian Commission recommended roval of this request at its meeting on April 22,
2015. An acceptable final plat (FS-1 5- ) has been received in accordance with the Subdivision
Ordinance.
The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtai above ti right-of-way r the platting
process. The City does not own any fee interest in the right-of-way or own any property adjacent to the
right-of-way i not expend any City funds to purchase the right-of-way easement. In accordance
with the City's policy regarding street and Ile vacation transactions approved by the it Council on
March , 2007 ( -1 ), staff recommends waiving the fair market value or any portion thereof of
purchase price right-of-way easements for the streets and alley,.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9, Mapsco 76H.
