RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance increasing the number of Directors
appointed to the Board of Directors of Tax Increment Reinvestment (TIF) Zone No 11 City of Fort Worth
Texas (Southwest Parkway TIF) from to 11 to 13
DISCUSSION
On December 7 2004 the City Council approved Ordinance No 16220 to designate the Southwest
Parkway TIF The ordinance also established the size of the Board at 11 Directors, with one appointment
from each of the five taxing entities other than the City that have jurisdiction in the TIF and six
appointments by the Fort Worth City Council
In order for the Board size to accommodate the interests of various City Council Districts, staff recommends
that the size of the Board for the Southwest Parkway TIF be changed from 11 to 13 Directors, resulting in
one appointment from each of the five taxing entities other than the City that have jurisdiction in the TIF
and eight appointments by the City Council The ordinance also clarifies that City Council-appointed Board
members may be removed or replaced any time by a majority vote of the City Council
