City Sec (etary
Honorable Mayor and
Members of the City Council Re-: Proposed Closing of Portions
City of Fort Worth of Frazier Avenue and Hagler
Street
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen:
The owner of Lot 2, Block 6, Prppect Heights Addition, hag requested the
closing of unneeded right-of-war Mon the west side of hazier Avenue
adjacent to the lot, as shown on the attached plat. The owner of Lot 10,
Block 19, Frisco Heights Addition, and Lot 1, Block 7, -.'_'Piogirt Heights
Addition, has deeded to the City needed right-of-way on the east side of
Frazier Avenue to provide an alignment with the existing pavement on
Frazier Avenue north from Lowden Street, and requests that the portion of
Hagler Street adjacent to the lots be closed, as shown on the attached
plat.
The Public Works and Planning Departments have investigated this request,
and have deteined that the requested closings and the additional right-
of-way for 'Fritier Avenue will improve the alignment of Frazier Avenue
at its interbection with Lowden Street. No objections have been found to
the requested cloatug, provided an easement is reserved for an existing
sanitary sewer located in the unneeded right-of-way on Frazier.
Lowden Street has been developed and is presently in use by the public.
Hagler Street has not been opened, And is not 1cheduled-to:--b-t 3eveiopaA--
4n the ..f"V. re. Portions of Hagler Street have already been closed.
The following recommendations are made:
1) That an ordinance be adopted closing the excessive right-of-way
on the west side of Frazier Avenue between Lowden and Hagler
Streets and reserving an easement for ;thr existing sanitary
sewer.
2) That an ordinance be adopted closing a portion of Hagler Street
east of Frazier Avenue.
Respectfully submitted,
