WORTH, TEX AN ORDINANCE AMEIMING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE N0. 4294, BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN AVIATION BOARD AND AVIATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE CI'T'Y OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, BY PROVIDING FOR REGULAR MEET- INGS OF THE BOARD AT LEAST ONCE IN EVERY MONTH AND FOR SUCH SPECIAL MEETINGS AS MAY BE NECESSARY; REPEALING AIL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 4294, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, the 27th day of May, A. D. 1960, be amended so that hereafter the same shall read as follows: SECTION 4. ORGANIZATION The Aviation Board biennially shall elect one of its members as Chairman and one as Vice-Chairman of the Board, and said Board shall appoint a Secretary and Treasurer, or a Secretary-Treasurer, who may, but need not be, a member or members of the Board. If a member of the Board is not appointed as Secretary or Treasurer, or Secretary-Treasurer, then an employee or employees of the City of Fort Worth may be appointed Secretary and Treasurer, or Secretary-Treasurer. The Aviation Board shall hold regular meetings at least once in every month and such special meetings as may be necessary and shall provide rules and regulations for the operations and performance of the duties of the Aviation Department. All formal meetings of the Board shall be open to the public, and final action on matters before the Board shall be taken only in open public meetings. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall repeal every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, but only insofar as the portion of such prior ordinance shall be in conflict, and as to all other sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is )hereby made cumulative. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it so ordained. The amendment -provides for fjdzibility in scheduling regular meetings of the Aviation Board 'once each month, plus such special meetings as may be necessary, instead of the present requirement for a meeting once every two weeks. The proposed ordinance also stipulates that the Secretary and Treasurer or Secretary-Treasurer of the Board may be an employee or employees of the City of Fort Worth; instead of:'the-present requirement that the Secretary and/or Treasurer be an employee or employees of' the Aviation Department.
