AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL CONTRIBUTIONS
FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,848.00, FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT,
PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2014-
2015 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Intergovernmental Contributions Fund in the amount of $32,848.00, from
available funds, for the purpose of reimbursement of traffic signal equipment.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or
judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this
ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 21457-09-2014 and all other ordinances
and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this
ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance
said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adopt Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Local Project Funding r with the Texas Department
of Transportation in the Amount of$32,848.00 to Furnish Traffic Signal Equipment for Intersection
Improvements at State Highway 114 and Harriet Creek Road and Accept Reimbursement of Costs for
Signal Equipment Furnished to the Texas Department of Transportation and Adopt Appropriation
Ordinance (COUNCIL DISTRICT 7)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached resolution authorizing execution of a Local Project Funding Agreement with the
Texas Department of Transportation in the amount of$32,848.00 to furnish traffic signal equipment for
intersection improvements at State Highway 114 and Harriet Creek Road;
. Accept a reimbursement of costs for signal equipment furnished to the Texas Department of
Transportation; and
. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Intergovernmental Contributions Fund in the amount of$32,848.00.
DISCUSSION:
The Texas Department of Transportation (T ) owns and maintains a system of highways and
roadways including the intersection of State Highway 114 and Harriet Creek Road. In order to
synchronize TxD -owned traffic signals with City-owned traffic signals, the City is responsible for
operation and maintenance of traffic signals along State i 114. TxDOT is reconstructing the above
mentioned intersection to include traffic signal equipment. part of an ongoing partnership between
TxDOT and the City, the City will provide the traffic signal equipment and in turn, TxDOT will reimburse
the City for costs of the signal equipment. his action insures that the traffic signal equipment is
compatible with standard signal operations and existing i i e .

TxDOT will manage and pay for all construction of the project. The City will maintain the traffic signal
equipment as part of a Maintenance Agreement (M&C C-25951) approved by the City Council on
November 6, 2012.
There will be no additional operating impact as a result of these upgrades.
The intersection of State Highway 114 and Harriet Creek Road is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7,
Mapsco 642K.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations
and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget,
as appropriated of the Intergovernmental Contributions Fund. The Transportation and Public Works
Department will be responsible for the collection and deposit of funds due to the City under this Funding
Agreement.
