AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF COMO DRIVE
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS HEREIN
BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to the public interest that a portion
of Comp Drive in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be straightensd out;
and,
WHEREAS, the owner of land adjacent to the portion of Como Drive here-
inafter specifically described by metes and bounds has made arrangements
for land immediately adjacent to and on the other side of Como Drive to be
conveyed to the City of Fort Worth for street purposes so that said street
can be straightened out to a small extent; and,
WHEREAS, since acquiring said land, the City of Fort Worth has no need
for the portion of Como Drive hereinafter specifically described by metes
and bounds, and such portion of Como Drive should be closed, abandoned and
permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL kF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of Como Drive situated in Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned
and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind what-
soever, said portion being described by metes and bounds as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 36, Chamberlin
Arlington Heights Second Filing, an addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas; thence in a southerly direction
along the east property line of said Block 36, which said east
property line is also the west right of way line of Como Drive,
to the southeast corner of said Block 36; thence east along a
line which is an extension of the south property line of said
Block 36, 44-feet to a point in Como Drive; thence north 50 feet
to a point in Como Drive; thence north 25 degrees 16 minutes 39
seconds west 238.9 feet to the place of beginning, the portion
of Como Drive being cl&sed, abandoned and permanently vacated
consisting of 9,000 square feet, more or less.
SECTION 2.
That the fee title to the land in the portion of Como Drive hereinabove
specifically described by metes and bounds is hereby released and shall re-
vert to the adjacent property owner as provided by law, save and except that

an easement is reserved for any and all utilities now in existence, if there
be any such utilities now in existence and located on said tract of land here-
inabove specifically described.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
