City of Fort Worth, Texas
Mayor and Council Communication
COUNCIL ACTION Approved on 5/10/2005 Ord #16424-05-2005
DATE Tuesday May 10 2005
LOG NAME 06VA-04-039
REFERENCE NO PZ-2594
SUBJECT
Adoption of an Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Woodside Drive Adjacent to Lots 44 and 45 Block 1
Phase III Harriett Creek Ranch Addition (VA-04-039)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the ordinance vacating a portion of Woodside Drive adjacent
to Lots 44 and 45 Block 1 Phase III Harriett Creek Ranch Addition as recorded in Cabinet V Page 619
Plat Records, Denton County Texas.
DISCUSSION
Adoption of the ordinance would vacate a portion of Woodside Drive adjacent to Lots 44 and 45 Block 1
Phase III Harriett Creek Ranch Addition as recorded in Cabinet V Page 619 Plat Records, Denton County
Texas
Lynn Meyer of Carter and Burgess acting on behalf of Bret Pedigo for Centex Homes has requested
vacation of the above referenced street in order to reduce excess Right-of Way (ROW) resulting from the
extension of Woodside Drive to the north as shown on the attached replat (FS-04-240) The Engineering
Department has determined that the applicant is dedicating 5 750 square feet of ROW for extension of
Woodside Drive offsetting the 435 square foot ROW vacation Therefore no purchase fee is required
Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. The City
Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on October 27 2004 The street to
be vacated will be retained as a utility easement for any existing utilities unless other satisfactory
arrangements are made including relocation at the applicant's expense An acceptable replat has been
received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
