To the Mayor and Members of the City Council August 22, 1975
Subject: ADJUSTED SALARY SURVEY RESULTS
e
At the August 19, 1975, Budget Study Session, information was requested
about the effect on the salary survey if certain cities were deleted. A
recalculation has been made of the salary survey excluding the Cities of
Phoenix, Kansas City, Columbus and Norfolk.
In making this comparison a sample was made of thirteen selected jobs
rather than completely recomputing the salary survey for all positions.
A tabulation of the sample is attached. This analysis indicates that by
excluding the four cities the average maximum pay for the selected jobs
decreased by 2.3 per cent.
Should the City Council desire any further information, we will be happy
to provide it.
Respectfully submitted,
)CA4
