AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF BOND STREET IN THE 700 BLOCK A
WIDTH OF 25' AND A LENGTH OF APPROXIMATELY
142.4' ADJACENT TO LOT 8, SCOTT ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAVE AND EXCEPT THAT
THE PLATTED 40' WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT PROVIDING
FOR THE WATER LINE CROSSING SUBJECT PROPERTY AND
SUCH OTHER EXISTING EASEMENTS FOR UTILITIES ARE
HEREBY RETAINED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF
THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS-
SECTION 1.
That a portion of Bond Street in the 700 Block a width
of 25' and a length of approximately 142.4' adjacent to
Lot 8, Scott Addition to the City of Fort Worth be and the
same is hereby vacated, abandoned and closed, as a street
or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever;
SAVE AND EXCEPT that the platted 40' wide utility easement
providing for the water line crossing subject property and
such other existing easements for utilities are hereby
retained.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
street is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that the platted
40' wide utility easement providing for the water line crossing
subject property and such other existing easements for utilities
are hereby retained.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

5ONt"'`E Artie Key, owner of Lot 8, Scott Addition, with the consent of Security
Mortgage Investors, owner of Lot 1, Block 1, Calloway Land Sub, has
requested that the City vacate a portion of Bond Street in the 700 block
a width of 25 ft. and a length of approximately 142 ft. adjacent to Lot
8, Scott Addition.
Subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open but not
paved. It is curbed at the north end and fenced at the south end.
Subject street right-of-way contains a 20" water main and the Water
Department requests a 40' collinear easement be provided for subject
facility across proposed vacation.
Due to the vicinity of subject property to the City of River Oaks,
notification of this request was sent to the City Administrator of
River Oaks.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request provided:
1) The vacated right-of-way is replatted with abutting property.
2) A 40' wide utility easement is provided for the water line crossing
subject property.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that
an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted to City Staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-
of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
