Ci y'-of Fort Worth Re: Proposed Closing of Street
Right-of-Way
z
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen:
N
The owner of Block 14, Chamberlin-Arlington Heights, First Filing, has re-
quested the closing of a 10-foot wide strip of Crestline Road adjoining
the property, to permit expansion of the All Saints Episcopal Church4,
located in this. block.
Crestline Road has lOU-fgot right-of-way width for a distance of five
blocks between B3-yce Avenue on the south and Sanguinet Street on the north,
At both ends of this 100-foot wide section, the right-of-way narrows to
80 feet. The existing roadway width of Crestline Road is approximately 36
feet. The Public Works Department, the Traffic Engineering Department, and
the Planning Department anticipate that the future maximum required road-
way width will be 44 feet,"":for which the right-of-way width that will re-
main after this recommende'b closing will be adequate.
The City Plan Copmission on January 9, 1963, by a 3-2 vote, recommended
that the City Council vacate the 10-foot strip along the southeasterly side
of Crestline RoaA, and the Public Works and City Planning Departments con-
cur in this recommendation. All interested parties have been contacted,
including private and municipal utility companies, and there are no objec-
tions to the proposed closing provided easements are reserved for existing
utilities including an electric service line and a telephone line at the
north end of this street.
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing the portion of
Crestline Road shown on the attached plat.
