AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING BLANCH
CIRCLE IN THE 300 BLOCK A WIDTH OF 50' AND A LENGTH
OF APPROXIMATELY 656.7' FROM SONDRA DRIVE TO BRISTOL
ROAD; AND VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 3'
EASEMENT FOR UTILITIES AND FUTURE BRISTOL ROAD
RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED ALONG THE EAST LINE OF BLOCK
6R, WESTGATE ADDITION ACCORDING TO A PLAT RECORDED
IN VOLUME 388-84, PAGE 18, DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS; AND VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
FOUR 20' x 20' PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS LOCATED
AT THE NORTHEAST AND NORTHWEST CORNERS OF BRISTOL
ROAD AND BLANCH CIRCLE AND AT THE SOUTHEAST AND
SOUTHWEST CORNERS OF SONDRA DRIVE AND BLANCH CIRCLE
AS SHOWN BY PLATS RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-84, PAGE
18 AND VOLUME 388-54, PAGE 18 AND VOLUME 388-54,
PAGE 25, DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Blanch Circle in the 300 Block a width of 50' and
a length of approximately 656.7' from Sondra Drive to Bristol
Road; and a 3' easement for utilities and future Bristol Road
right-of-way located along the east line of Block 6R, Westgate
Addition according to a plat recorded in Volume 388-84, Page
18, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas; and four 20' x 20'
public open space easements located at the northeast and
northwest corners of Bristol Road and Blanch Circle and at
the southeast and southwest corners of Sondra Drive and Blanch
Circle as shown by plats recorded in Volume 388-84, Page 18
and Volume 388-54, Page 18 and Volume 388-54, Page 25, Deed
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a street, easement
for utilities and open space easements.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described street
right-of-way, utility easement and open space easements is
hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as pro-
vided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are reserved
therein for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Fort Worth University Drive Joint Venture, owner of Block 7R and Lots A and B,
Block 6R, Westgate Addition, has requested that the city vacate Blanch
Circle in the 300 Block, a width of 50 feet and a length of approximately
656.7 feet from Sondra Drive to Bristol Road; a 3' easement for utilities
and future Bristol Road right-of-way located along the east line of Block
6R, Wes4ate Addition according to a plat recorded in Volume 388-84, Page 18,
Deed Rec6rds of Tarrant County, Texas; and four 20' x 20' public open space
easements located at the northeast and northwest corners of Bristol Road
and Blanch Circle and at the southeast and southwest corners of Sondra Drive
and Blanch Circle as shown by plats recorded in Volume 388-84, Page 18
and Volume 388-54, Page 18 and Volume 388-54, Page 25, Deed Records of
Tarrant County, Texas.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication is paved to City
standards of approximately 25 years ago and contains water, storm drainage,
and gas transmission facilities. The subject easements contain no improve-
ments.
The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request provided that
the vacated right-of-way and easements are satisfactorily replatted; such
a replat has been submitted to City staff.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject street
right-of-way, and easements as requested.
