�z r NA .. CONTRACT No, NT No.3 1 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT IERAS, the City of port Worth (CITY) and Shield Engineering Group, PLLC. (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.45924, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 0- 26932 on the 26th day of August, 2014 in the amount of $244,534 . 00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount $135,352 . 00 authorized on the 18t' day of March, 2015 M&C C-27190; Amendment Number 2 in the amount of $25, 616. 00 authorized on 20th day of Maly, 2015. WHEREAS , the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Water Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2014, WSM - A; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No.3 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their dully authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated September 15, 2015 a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals 49,200 . 00 . 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all wore and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an aunt of $454,702 . 00 3 . Provide CIP Project Tracking Services to look for the most cost effective delivery methods in construction by providing the following services: a. Collect bid tabs from year 'I to date for water and wastewater capital improvement projects b. Provide a bid comparison of projects with utility construction only versus projects incorporating both the Water department utility improvements and TPW department paving improvements c. Determine an approximate per linear foot cost to construct utility improvements based on bids and final project closeouts d. Analyze the final project construction costs based on the project Green Sheet to more accurately estimate the approximate per linear foot cost to construct utility improvements. e. Use the information gathered to determine what:trends may be causing construction costs to increase during construction such as incomplete construction plans, inaccurate bid quantities, missing bid quantities, design changes, and unforeseeable construction constraints causing redesign or change orders. Also provide a trend analysis on the spreadsheet data to determine if there are any contractor bid habits by project such as irregularities in unit price loading. f. Attend meetings with the City to discuss progress of the CIP tracking. 2. Provide miscellaneous design survey as requested by the City 3. Provide Temporary Right of Entry easement property sketch and exhibits as requested by the City.
