JUSTIFICATION FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES REQUEST FOR JTPA
Since the last year's Private Industry Council and City
Council action included the option to renew this vendor's list
for a second year, it was not necessary to seek PIC approval
for this action.
In September of 1990, the City Council authorized the City Manager
to place these consultants on an approved vendor list. During the
last program year, which ended on June 30, 1991, two of the four
consultants were used by the department. The law firm of
Chamberlain and Later and the NAB were utilized. Total funds
expended for both were $21,872.00 for services rendered. The item
before you recommends renewal of this list for a second year.
While no estimate of the amount of expenditures which might be
incurred per firm is available, Council approval limits the total
cost to $50,000.
