AN ORDINANCE A1ENDrTG SECTION 4-3 CHAPTER 11 OF THE BUIL1ING CODE ORDINANCE #13$9 PERTAIN-' � GGTO THE BEWIRIMENTS OF FIRE DOOR§ AND WIN- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C OUNC IL OF THE CITY OF FORT NORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That Sect ion 113, of Chapter 11, Building Code Otdinance #1389 of the City of Fort Worth, shall herein- after read as follows: "CHAPTER 11 Section 11-3 FIRE DOOMS AND WINDOWS. Paraggraph 11-3-1.-- Fire Door and Window Construc- t ion. Kere fire doors, windows, and shutters are re- quired they snail be of one-hour fire-resistive con- struction as described by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, in their "List of Fire Protected Ap- pliances", dated July 1�028. Paragraph 11-3-2.-- Fire Doors and Windows Re- quired. Openings in the following locations shalt be equipped with approved fire doors and Lire windows: (a) All openings in required enclosures for elevators, stairways, and shaftways. (b) Ali doors and windows opening upon fire es- capes or passed by fire escapes. (c) Doors and windows in borer rooms. (d) All ppe nings in re qui n d fire or division walls. (Both sides) e) All openings in est er for wai 1 s of every bui 1 ng erected wit hin Eire Zones 1 and 2 shall have approred fire doors or windows. Exception (1) : The provisions of Paragraph (e) shall not apply to doors, windows, or other openings Tn- h face directly upon and are not within fifty SO feet of the oppppoosite side of a public street, alley, or other 61ic place•�his distance to be measured at rightangles to he plane of the wall in which the openings occur. Exception (2) : The provisions of Paragraph (e} �hall no apply o openings in an outer court twentty 26)) feet or more in width parallel to and facing upon a street or public place provided such open- ings are not within 2u feet of an adjacent property line. Exception (3) : The provisions of Paragraph (e) shall no apply to private dwellings or the auditorium portion of churches. SECTION II. That ail ordinances and parts of ordinances here- tofore passed by the City council of the City of Fort North that are in c oat lic t with the foregoing provisions of this ordinance shall be void and of no further force and effect.
