AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH AN ITZMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE 11-
PENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTMENT, DIVISION AND OFFICE
OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNM?'XT OF THE CITY OF FORT iWORTH FOR
THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR AND APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR THE
VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATB; APPROPRIATING
MONEY TO PAY INTTERIOT AND PRINCIPAL SINLIQG FUND R"I Z-

HEARINGS UPON THIS ORDINANCE BEFORE THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL
SITTING AS A COMMITTEE OF THE WHOL1; AND PROVIDING A SAVING
CLAUSE FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES AND APPROPRIATIONS
IN CONFLICT dITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND FOR
THIS PUBLICATION AND FINAL PASSAGE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEWt
SECTION I.
That the appropriation for the ensuing fiscal year boginniug October
10 1944 and ending September 30, 1945, for the different departments and
purposes of the City of Fort Wroath be fixed and determined as followat

JCII. WATERWDRKS FUND BUDGET
The dater Department shall be provided with such revenue as my be
secured from the sale of water and other sources as shown by other ordi-
nances heretofore passed, and such money -hall be used to meet the require-
ments of that department as provided in the budget of the City HwuWar.
XIII. PARKS
The Department of Public Parka shall be provided with funds realised
from a tax levy of 90 on each ".W of assessed value of all real, per-
sonal and mixed property in the City of Fort Worth not except from taxation
by law, and such ==W shall be used to meet the requirawants of that de-
partment as provided in the budget of the City Manager.
XIV. RECRFATION
The Department of Public Recreation shall be provided with funds
realised from a tax levy of Z; on each $100.00 of assessed value of all
real, personal and mixed property in the .City of Fort Worth not exempt from
taxation by law, and such money shall be used to most the requirements of
that department as provided in the budget of the City Manager.
XV. LIB"a
The Public Library shall be provided with funds realised from a tax
levy of 30 on each ".00 of assessed value of all real, personal and
mimed property in the City'of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation by law,
and such money shall be used to gnat the requirements of that department
as provided in the budget of the City Manager.
SHCTION Ii.
That the distribution and division of the above named appropriations
be made in accordance with the budget of expenditures submitted by the
City Manager and an revised by the City Council in accordance with the pro-
visions of the City Charter and adopted by the City Council, and which budget
is made a part of this ordinance by reference thereto and shall be con..
sidered in connection with the expenditure of the above appropriation.
SEC'tIOu in.
That the City Council of the City of Fort, Worth shall sit as a com-
mittee of the whole in the Council Chanter at the City Hall in the City of
Fort Worth on Wednesday, the 13th day of September, A. B. 19", at 9:30
o'clock A. M., to tear any complaints, suggestions or observations that any
citizen, taxpayer or party interested may desire to make with reference to
any or all the provisions of this ordinance, and such committee shall con—
tines its deliberations until the public has been given a full opportunity
to be heard.
SECTION IV.
That following the public hearings, for which provision has been made
in the preceding section, this ordinance shall be published two times, one
of which publications shall not be less than ten (10) days before the
second reading and final passage of the ordinance, in the official, newspaper
of the City of Fort Worth, which newapaper is one of general circulation
in said City, together with a separate schedule setting forth the items in
the estimate of the City Manager which were omitted or changed by the City
Council, and the reason for such omission or change, as required by the
Charter of said City.
SECTION V.
That this ordinance shall not be presorAod for final passage until
ten (10) full days have elapsed atter its publisation, &a provided b the
Charter of said City.
SECTION Vi.
Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this ordir
name be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason b7 a court
of competent jurisdiction, arch decision, opinion or judgeont shall in no
gay+ affect the remaining portions, parts, sections or parts of sections of
this ordinance, whieh provisions shall be, remain and continue to be in
hall force and affect.
SEG io vII.
All ordinances and appropriations for which provision has heretofore
boon made are hereby expressly repealed if in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance.
SWrION VIII.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and publication as required by the
Charter of the City of Fort Worth.
