AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3194, BEING AN ORDINANCE EX- TENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LY- ING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDI- NANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1, That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3194, passed on first reading by the City Council on Wednesday, April 28, 1954, be amended, and, after being amended, it shall read as follows: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said ter- ritory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the west line of Beach Street at the most northerly northeast corner of the City of Fort Worth city limit line, said point being also in the west city limit line of Haltom City; Thence in a northerly, easterly and southerly direction along the present city limit line of Haltom City as follows Thence northerly along the west line of Beach Street to the north line of Broadway; Thence easterly along the north line of Broadway to the west line of Larry Street; Thence in a northerly direction along the west line of Larry Street to a point 135 feet north of the north line of Joy Street; Thence easterly along a line 135 feet north of and,parallel to the north line of Joy Street to the west line of Martha Street; Thence northerly a distance of 320 feet along the said west line of Martha Street; Thence easterly a distance of 50 feet to the northwest corner of Lot "A," Block 19, in Browning Heights Addition to Haltom City, which is the east line of Martha Street, and continuing in an easter- ly direction, in all a distance of 19353 feet to a point in the east line of Earls Lane; Thence in a southerly direction along the east line of Earls Lane to the north line of Broadway; Thence easterly along the north line of Broadway to a point which is the west boundary line of the Browning Heights East Addition to Haltom City, said point being the northeast corner of Broadway and Fincher Road, said point also being 1,287.5 feet west of the north- west corner of Haltom Road and Broadway; Thence in a northerly direction approximately 1,315.2 feet along said boundary line to the south line of Joy Lee Street; Thence westerly along the south line of Joy Lee Street to the southwest corner of Gene Lane and Joy Lee Street; Thence northerly along the west line of Gene Lane to a point which is the southwest corner of James and Gene Lane; Thence easterly across Gene Lane and along the north boundary line of Block 34 of the Browning Heights East Annex Addition to a Point which is the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 38, of the Brown- ing Heights East No. 2 Addition; Thence in a northerly direction 989.5 feet along the west boundary line of said addition to a point, which is the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 43, of Browning Heights East No. 2 Addition; Thence easterly 1,474.8 feet to a point in the center line of Haltom Road; Thence northerly along the center line of Haltom Road to a point which is 25 feet west of the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 45, Browning Heights East No. 3 Addition; Thence easterly 25 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 1, Block 45, Browning Heights East No. 3 Addition; Thence northerly 1,242.3 feet along the east line of Haltom Road to the point of intersection with the south line of Stanley- Keller Road, or County Road No. 3100; Thence easterly along said south line of Stanley-Keller Road a distance of 1,300 feet to a point; Thence southerly 2,478.6 feet to the southeast corner of Jerri Lane and Rita Lane; Thence westerly 30 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 51, Browning Heights East No. 3 Addition; Thence southerly along the east line of said Lot 1, 109.4 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 1, same being in the north line of Lot 2, Block 8, of Haltom Acres Addition to Haltom City; Thence easterly along the north line of Block 8, Haltom Acres, and continuing to a point in the west line of State Highway No. 10; Thence southerly along the west line of State Highway 10 to a int which is the northwest corner of Webster Street and Highway 10; Thence easterly across said Highway No. 10 to and along a line 40 feet north of and parallel with the north lines of Blocks 19, 22 and 23, of Meadow Oaks Addition, in all to a point 40 feet north of the northeast corner of said Block 23; Thence in a southerly direction along the east line of said Block 23 and continuing to the north line of Edwards Street; Thence easterly along the north line of Edwards Street and parallel to the north line of Blocks 3, 2 and 1, of the Birdville Addition,to the northeast corner of the J. F. Reeves Tract 6; Thence southerly along the east lines of various tracts, includ- ing the Reeves Tract, the School Tract and the 0. B. Guynn Tract and the west lines of Bowen Motor Coaches Tract, J. S. Im ay and A. B. Smeaton Tracts and a Cemetery,to the southeast corner of said 0. B. Guynn Tract; Thence westerly along the south line of said 0. B. Gwynn Tract to the east line of Moneda Street extended; Thence in a southerly direction along the east line of said Moneda Street extended to its point of intersection with the north line of Highland Avenue; Thence easterly along the north line of Highland Avenue extended to a point which is 817 feet east of the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Delante Avenues Thence southerly 517 feet along the east boundary line of the South Birdville School 9.7 Acre Tract to a point which is the south- east corner of said tract; Thence westerly 817 feet to a point which is the southeast corner of Ellison Avenue and Delante Avenue; Thence continuing westerly along the south line of Ellison Avenue to the east line of Moneda Avenue; Thence southerly along the east line of Moneda Avenue to its point of intersection with the north line of Midway Road; Thence easterly along the north line of Midway Road to a point which is the northeast corner of Midway Road and Plant Road; Thence southeasterly 808.3 feet along the east line of said Plant Road to a point; Thence easterly 25 feet to a point which, in effect, increases the width of said Plant Road at such point from 25 feet to 50 feet; Thence south 18 degrees 45 minutes east 75 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right with a radius of 11.x.6 feet, and continuing along the east line of said curve and the east line of the said Plant Road across the C. R. I. & G. Railroad right of way to the south right of way line thereof; Thence north 62-3/4 degrees east, 137.8 feet to the northeast corner of a tract of land situated in the G. B. Stanley Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, as described as tract one (1) in General War- ranty Deed dated October 8, 1952, wherein R. H. Moore and Leroy E. Dobkins are grantors and the City of Haltom City, Texas, is grantee, said deed being recorded in Volume 2485, page 185, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; Thence in a southerly direction, in a line parallel to the west boundary line of said Plant Site Tract, approximately 1,277 feet to a one inch pipe with cap on top, stake in the south boundary line thereof for a corner, being the southeast corner of said Plant Site Tract; Thence in a westerly direction along the south boundary line of said Plant Site Tract, crossing the new channel of the Little Fossil Creek, to the southwest corner of said Plant Site Tract, and continuing in a westerly direction along the north boundary line of the R. Kings- bury Estate Tract marked 3-A on the Haltom City map to the northwest corner of said tract; Thence southerly along the west line of said R. Kingsbury Estate Tracts 3-A and 3 to the southeast corner of the Garden of Eden Addi- tion; Thence westerly along the south boundary line of Garden of Eden Addition to the west line of Carson Street; Thence northerly along the west line of Carson Street to the north right of way line of the C. R. I. & G. Railroad; Thence in a southwesterly direction along the north right of way line of said C. R. I. & G. Railroad to the west line of Thomas Road; Thence northerly along the west line of Thomas Road to the south- east corner of a tract of land marked R. Kingsbury Estate 15 on the Haltom City may; Thecae westerly along the south line of said Tract 15 and continu- ing in a westerly direction along tracts marked Gilbert Jackson 16, W. H. Henderson 18, and continuing along said line to the east line of Haltom Road; Thence southerly along the east line of Haltom Road to a point of intersection with the north line of Wheeler Street extended; Thence westerly to a point which is the northwest corner of Haltom Road and Wheeler Street, said point being also in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line; Thence south along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line and along the west line of Haltom Road a distance of 100 feet to a point; Thence east to a point 100 feet east of the east line of Haltom Road; Thence in a northerly, easterly, westerly and southerly direction along a line parallel to and 100 feet from the above described Haltom City city limit line in reverse direction to a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line which extends west from the most northerly northeast corner of the present city limit of the City of Fort Worth; Thence east along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line a distance of 100 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
